Artemisinin herx = babesia?

I was wondering if anyone has experienced a strong herx when starting

Artemisinin? And does this probably indicate babesia?

I've been on abx for 17 months, currently bicillin 2x/week. I had to stop

andrographis but otherwise have been on Buhner's core protocol plus Smilax and

Eleuthero for 3 months (2 months at max dose of 4 each 4x/day) along with

vitamins/minerals/probiotics/antioxidants etc.

I've always suspected babesia but never tested postive so I decided to try

Artemisinin and see what happened. I followed Buhner's dosage recommendation

of 100 mg 3x/day for a week then upped the dose when I heard some LLMDs are now

reconsidering and dosing higher. Wow! I thought I herxed badly when I first

started abx..... I experienced a pretty typical medium severity herx for the

first week but when I upped the dose to 500 mg/day I really saw a reaction.

Symptoms like all over body buzz accompanied by nausea/flushing and severe night

sweats have been added to all the usual fun stuff.

I have an appointment next week with my LLMD and will be asking if this could

mean I do indeed have babesia. I guess its possible the Artemisinin is killing

off spirochetes and that is causing the herx... Any input?
