Guest guest
Tests won't detect pathogens if one only has a small amount of the pathogen. Thus, you can have Lyme pathogens in you, but not enough to be considered an infection. We all carry pathogens in us that can overgrow into an infection at any point. Not that we carry all pathogens, but we all carry pathogens. Thus, it is very possible that your immune system is handling the Lyme quite well, so you don't have enough of it to show up as an infection. I actually give more weight to the energy tests than the mainstream ones. I think the important thing is treatment. What is making people well is more important than exactly what is going on. Anyone who puts all their decision making into test results has not researched how unreliable tests are. You would be surprised how unreliable almost every test is. Love and prayers, Heidi N My wife tested positive for Lyme disease recently, but has probably had it for several years, gauging from the symptoms. She's also tested positive for Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia, Rickettsia and two forms of Mycoplasma. The Lyme came up on a Western Blot, and the others on a bio-meridian energy test. I was tested recently (bio-meridian) and only came up positive for Ehrlichia and Babesia. ELISA and Western Blot came up negative (no bars) for Lyme. Is this possible? Or is it more likely that the ELISA/WB tests were just done at the right (well, wrong) point in the life cycle? Any ideas why only the Ehr and Babs would show up in the energy test? But I think energy testing (in general) is even less reliable. I heard many examples of people with minor medical problems who got energy tested with positive result for a whole bunch of bugs, while others with verified Bb infection were told the infection was cleared. But I agree with you that the right treatment is most important and for that indeed a good alternative doc may be the best choice, because they tend to look at the person and not just at a lab test result. The problem is to find the right doc, because there are so many bad apples (here in Europe, but probably just the same in US). But I also have to say that some of the good official docs that deal with Lyme see the importance of listening to the patient, trying to understand the whole story and adapt the treatment to that instead of using a standard recipe for treatment. I'm not a fan of high dose ABX, but this is one of the things that I like with some of the good ILADS docs.
