Guest guest
Hi Marisa Thank you for the info...for ME the only thing keeping the Bart ( and Lyme) in check is combining MINOCYCLINE plus SUPRAX as proven by nearly dying this summer/fall when I stopped it despite trying herbal and homeopathic protocols, and TCM/Accupuncture too we are all such individuals that any given success may not help others But we all need to keep sharing in case it does help another be well Finette > > Hi, I've been waiting a while to write this note as we > all know how these diseases can have their ups and > downs. Guest guest
Yes, Finette we are all different to some degree. With me it is the herbs that make me better and the abx that made me worse except for the Cipro in the beginning, but that is too hard on most peoples colon and destroys many of them. I have run low on some of my herbs recently, and now I am feeling it. I was going to encapsulate some today, but never got to it with working on a photo all day, so I am really feeling only being on half of my herbs for the past two days. GOT to do them tomorrow. Hope you can get off the abx soon and be able to take the herbs for better health. Guest guest
I want to add my recent/current experience in case it may help someone else. I've had a recurrent rash on the back of my neck, which recently came back w/ a vengeance. I now believe it is probably Bartonella, after assuming it was Bb. Although I can't see it, I can feel that a number of the bumps are lined up rather linearly, a sign of Bart. I've been on a heavy abx regimen, and am currently on 5 abx. I recently added red root, boneset and pau d'arco tinctures/solutions by mouth. The rash kept spreading and itching more, so out of desperation I decided to squirt some of the pau d'arco and boneset on the rash and rub it in and see what would happen. My thought is that the rash is a physical manifestation of the bacteria erupting on the skin, so maybe applying a bactericide topically would kill them. WOW! I had a huge herx very quickly after applying the solutions. The itchiness lessened and the bumpiness lessened. This was on Monday of this week. After applying it once a day for a couple of days, I decided to apply it twice a day. I herx after each application, although the herxes are lessening in intensity. A couple of days ago I decided to apply the solutions twice a day. The bumpiness is almost gone and it's pretty much not itching at all anymore. The downside is that my hair/neck get a little sticky in the area the solution has been applied, and I smell like boneset and pau d'arco, but between having the rash or getting better, I'd rather deal with it for a while and get better. I also found an abstract done in Japan that discusses the potential of using the scalp as a drug delivery location, because the scalp absorbs pretty well via the hair follicles (Transfollicular absorption, they called it.). Anyway, that's my contribution for today. If you have this rash on the back of the head near the base of the hairline, and it itches a lot, you might try this. I hope it will work for you, too. Guest guest
Hi Patti I wanted to ask where you get the boneset tincture? Does the pau d'arco also work equally well on the rash? I wonder if essential oils would also work?? I have this too...recurrent dotty rash on chest or back and stretch mark type as well as sore throat and feeling exhausted before the rash appears. I think it is Bart but Reservatrol doesn't seem to do much for me...I haven't tried it long though. For others info, my doc sometimes uses a 10 day drug regimen of Avelox and Moxifloxacin..I've never tried it but may do soon. thanks Emma
Guest guest
Hi Emma, I'm using tinctures and solutions by Herb Pharm. I order 4 oz bottles through Whole Foods, but you may be able to find them online as well. I will say, I think these preparations by Herb Pharm are really excellent quality, fwiw. I sometimes put the pau d'arco on first and wait a while, til it's mostly dry before applying the boneset, and while I believe the pau d'arco definitely helps, any residual itchiness that I have seems to definitely " calm down " more so after applying the boneset. I've now been applying these things topically for a week, and there is only a slight hint of the original rash there. My herxes after applying them have also gotten much, much lighter as well. I plan to continue applying the two solutions until there's no hint of either he rash or a herx reaction anymore. If you have the essential oils already, try them, esp if they have antimicrobial activity. But if you don't have them, I would definitely recommend buying the boneset and pau d'arco and using them together, and massage them into the affected areas. I've been on antibiotics for over 2 years now, and I really think there are areas of the body that the blood simply doesn't reach well enough to carry enought drug there to be super effective. That's why applying the herbs or possibly even a topical abx directly to a rash would probably deliver far more drug directly to the source of the problem. And that way we may be able to eradicate more of the infection faster. Be prepared for a big herx, though. Let me know if it helps you. I hope it does. Guest guest
Hi, is this message for me??? If so, I got the Boneset Tea and Stephania root (real roots) from a friend. I've never tried pau d'arco. My husband has the rash all over his legs, stretch marks and red lines. His feet are so swollen and red (heels mostly) that he can hardly walk. He has to work 70 hours a week. I'm too sick to work at all. The 10 day drug regimen sounds interesting. Guest guest
Levaquin is deadly against Bartonella (Burrascano reported that first I think). I've had the BIGGEST herxes and improvements ever after 2 months of levaquin. I also am on the SB herbs for Lyme. The combo of the herbs + levaquin is the best I have found yet. Cheers, Craig > > > > Hi Patti > > I wanted to ask where you get the boneset tincture? Does the pau > d'arco > > also work equally well on the rash? Guest guest
As a follow up to my previous post, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still applying the pau d'arco and boneset twice day (in addition to drinking it 2-3 times a day). There's very little of the original rash/itching left. However bits of it seem to have " moved " out of the area a little and now I find little spots of rash lower on my neck and shoulders. These spots are small compared to the original area the rash was covering, so I'm applying the pau d'arco and boneset to these areas in addition to the original area. Herxing w/pau d'arco seems to be pretty minimal to non existant now. However I still herxed this morning after applying the boneset, but the herx only lasted about an hour, so the intensity is definitely lessening. The first herx I had from them lasted oer 12 hours and was quite severe, at least for me. I'll occasionally herx in the afternoon as well, even though I haven't applied anything recently. It's important to keep in mind that I'm taking oral abx as well, so these afternoon herxes may be due to the other abx I'm taking. I don't take the abx at the same time that I use the herbs, so I feel pretty confident that the herxes I'm experiencing after applying the herbs is due to the herbs. I plan to keep applying the herbs topically at least until I don't herx at all after applying the boneset. I may start applying stephania root tincture topically as well and see if that changes my response. I tried levaquin some time back, and my achilles started hurting, so we stopped it since it's know to lead to ruptured achilles tendons in some people. I'm also allergic to sulfas, so I can't take Bactrim DS, unfortunately. I'm on rifampin, doxycycline, and zithromax for the bart, and Bicillin injections and Tindamax for Bb. > > Levaquin is deadly against Bartonella (Burrascano reported that first > I think).
