nausea/vomiting

Hi all:

For the past 3 weeks or so, I have experienced nausea with increased

bloating/cramping, and every night for the past 4 night I have been either

vomiting or dry heaving, depending on whether I ate anything that day. (I can't

seem to handle more than two bites of soup, a handful of pretzels, and some

Gatorade.)

I'm on the Marshall Protocol phase 2 (2 very low-dose antibiotics), and have

been for at this level or higher most of the year. I added some herbs from

Buhner's protocol about 6 weeks ago (Japanese knotweed, sarsasparilla, and some

vitamins). It's safe to say that the tummy problems have come since I increased

the herbs, along with some other side effects (low-level headaches and eye

pain), but nothing seemed so extreme that I needed to lower the dose until about

2 weeks ago, and I cut them out altogether last week. The vomiting came

ironically enough once I stopped them altogether.

Physically it has felt like a cross between food poisoning and a righteous

hangover since before the vomiting. I assumed that my body was overloaded with

toxins, hence the nausea and other GI symptoms. So my question is this: is

extreme nausea/daily vomiting a " normal " reaction to killing Lyme? Perhaps a

better way to put it is, how within normal limits is it?

Again I want to stress that I really didn't feel like I was going overboard with

any meds; though I had noticed an increase in side effects, noting seemed even

close to out of control. Now I've temporarily quit the herbs and even the abx

from the MP, in order to give my body some time to detoxify. I just want to know

if the vomiting is for some of us par for the course, or something I should be

more worried about.

My GP is nice but I'm his first Lymie, so methinks the feedback I get from y'all

will be more helpful!

Cheers,
