Hi Lynn,

There are at least six different types of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and each

affects the body in a different way, depending on the chromosomal abberaton. The

odds of finding a Cayce reading on the particular type in question is extremely

small. However, It may be possible to deduce a treatment based on readings for

other hereditary diseases, such as Down's syndrome, hemophilia, and

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disorder.

All the best,

Dudley

Dudley - Someone has contacted me about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. This is a

malfunction of the collagen in the body, usually hereditry. I googled Cayce and

Collagen and looked on the files program but found nothing.

I know that scleroderma, TB of the skin according to the National Medical

Musuem, affects the connected tissue. In this case, it does not work so the

body does not heal properly. Any suggestions? Lynn Koiner

I'm in need for a reliable way to rebuild collagen in all areas of my

body but especially in arthritic joints.

This site is so convincing of it's product, COLLAGEN, that I want to

try it but want confirmation or refutation. Does anyone have any

opinions?

Hi ,

Don't know about this product, but, I do trust Tim O'Shea.

Good luck.

Our family has this issue a lot. I can tell you what I've learned. My

joints are in way better shape than my siblings, so I think I've

learned something.

1. Fish oil seems to protect joints. I don't know why. But

it's worth a shot.

2. Gut problems or food intolerances really hurt

joints. Gluten and casein being the worst. But

I've had really good results mostly avoiding corn

and potatoes. Or eating them with a bit of bentonite.

Anyway, the autoimmune diseases attack collagen. Making MORE collagen

is a great thing, and taking Vit D, eating collagen (broth or supplements)

really does help.

I'm not sure how iodine fits in here. I do think it helps with

gut issues. Esp. seaweed ... I know some distrust it because of

the halides, but our ancestors ate it a lot (halides and all) and it

changes the gut bacterial balance because of the polysaccharides

(and yeah, the iodine).

I guess IT is Borrelia. They chip away at the connective tissue (mostly

collagen) to make it into a kind of nutrient soup that they need for growth.

I doubt if ingesting collagen is very helpful. Collagen for connective tissue

has to be rebuilt on site, I doubt you can simply pass it through the gut and

the blood vessels etc. and expect it to settle where it is needed.

I have the same doubts regarding Hyaluronic acid etc. It probably works for some

time if injected, and even in that case it is broken down after some

weeks/months by the body because it is 'unnatural'. So IMHO these supplements

are not more useful than just general good nutrition (correct me if I'm wrong

....).

I'm afraid the cosmetics industry is spreading a lot of nonsense about this kind

of treatments ...

I have tried everything I could find for restoring my lost connective tissue

(including all suggestions from Buhner), and have found nothing that helped.

I recently tried an infrared light panel that is sold for cosmetic purposes,

because I was getting many wrinkles in my face as a result of all the connective

tissue that disappeared. This panel seems to have some effect as I have far less

small wrinkles after a few weeks (it is supposed to stimulate connective tissue

healing/growth).
