Guest guest
Just curious for those of you from Europe. What are your thoughts impressions on the BIO880? What is the discussion on europe on it? Selma who used to frequent this messageboard and uses buhner's protocol and every thing imaginable /but would relapse-has gone to the BIO880. She says it is working for her and put is keeping the lyme in remission for her and her daughter? Very price and no US practioners right now. There are some on lymenet that claimed it helped them -but they also all did abx for several years beforehand it seems.

I haven't heard of people who were cured with this treatment, but maybe there are a few (people get cured with the most strange treatments sometimes ...). I think the 'science' behind it is all bogus (although they make it sound like cutting edge science). Biophotons exist, but I don't think this device has anything to do with biophoton science. Guest guest
P.S.: I'm not doubting that some people get cured, but I think that is more because of the care and attention of the practioner, and additional treatments that he is probably using. Maybe it is good for Americans to point out that alternative medicine is very popular in Germany, some of it good and some really wacky. Most of it is paid for by general health insurance (this has its roots in the pre-WWII situation in Germany) and I think that encourages all kinds of unproven practice. In most other EU countries only the 'proven' types of alternative medicine are paid by insurance, and usually only for those with extra coverage. Of course, what is 'proven' varies continuously and mostly depends on lobbying from the alternative practioners and opposition from the medical establishment. The Biophoton is one of many devices that are said to be based on cutting edge science (usually measuring or treating illness with electromagnetic waves). But the scientific background stories are mostly nonsense, with often similar references to some unknown hospital in China, or a company related to NASA or the Russian space organisation that is using it. I'm extra sceptical when they claim that they can make a detailed diagnosis at a distance (e.g. over the phone line), and because the equipment is sold for prices that are 10x or 100x higher than the real production cost of the hardware.
