Guest guest
Are these the same? If so, I'd like to share that I always treat systemically rather than or in addition to topically when I get it. Grapefruit seed extract, sacchromyces boulardi, herbs, acidophilus, tanins, etc are typical things I've used. Occasionally I succumb to using dyflucon, thogh rarely. A few days of treatment, eliminates whatever skin manifestation I have. I've been prescribed vaginal creams, foot creams, even scalp treatments in the past, but it just doens't make sense to me to treat only topically. I take a topical outbreak as a sign that I have it systemically adn treat it systemically. I always get rapid results. jo

She said get rid of the yeast! ==>All yeast, fungus, bacteria, etc. are created for the same reason, which is a depressed immune system. The name you are looking for is tinea versicolor which is in this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/treat18.php > > So, I have been planning on doing it, but I have started with the gfcf diet first. He started that in January. I have seen good results. I am just scared to take the fruit away, but know it needs to be done. ==>Fruits do not contain any nutrients that are special. There is more vitamin C in peppers, broccoli and other veggies than in any fruits, except acerola cherries. All of the nutrients the body requires are included in this program. Fructose is also one of the worst sugars per Dr. Mercola at www.mercola.com. This is from my article " Foods that Damage, Foods that Heal " : " Did you know that fruit is not the healthy food it is claimed to be? Fruit is mostly fructose sugar with some vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. Those vitamins and nutrients are easily obtained from meats, eggs, and vegetables. Did you know there is more vitamin C in broccoli and peppers than in any fruits sold at the grocery store today, and that meats and eggs also contain vitamin C? Even healthy people should limit fruit consumption to two per day and they should always be accompanied by plenty of saturated fats to slow the release of fructose into the bloodstream. That is why strawberries and cream tastes so good together! Like all other sugars, fructose causes insulin resistance (see the section below), as proven in scientific tests. Fruits that are lowest in sugar are grapefruit, lemon and lime. Also a high carbohydrate diet is just as damaging to your body as sugar — see the section below Scientific Proof Carbohydrates Cause Disease. Did you know you can obtain all of your body's blood sugar requirements by eating meats, eggs and saturated fats, and no carbohydrates! That is because " 58% of the protein and about 10% of the fat you eat are converted to glucose, " as stated by Prevention Magazine. " > He is on probiotics and a whack of other stuff including codliver, > vit. b vit. e, malic acid, and a formula with minerals. (He had high levels of antimony, uranium and aluminum). ==>Why are you giving him him malic acid? A high good fats diet chelates out all heavy metals. > > Naturopath put him on this for a month. She wanted to see if that > would put the yeast in check. My gut is to get the yeast out with a > program regardless. Is the candida diet that bee talks about the same protocol for kids. ==>Yes it is the same program, with only less quantities of the supplements. > I've read the kid section but my guy doesn't like the egg drink, I've tried many times. I was also wondering for length of time a 5 year old would need to be put on this diet as compared to an adult. I have heard a lot from the autism community about anti-fungals. Just > looking for opinions and thoughts ==>A 5 year old would probably require 5-6 months; 1 month of natural healing for every year, including 9 months in the womb since he probably had candida before birth. Hi Bee, What about the VCO? Do kids go up to the 5-6 Tbsp. too? I have boys ranging from 6'7 " (220 lbs) down to 4'2 " (58 lbs.) Do they all strive for the same amount of VCO? Right now they're on only about 1 Tbsp. a day, but I'm trying to think ahead. Thanks, Cathe
Guest guest
The bad for of Candida is actually a fungal form. Some other problems (e.g. cradle cap) or caused by other fungi, but all will respond to building up the immune system as Bee suggests. This is from my article Candida Treatments for Babies & Children: " Coconut Oil: Children can take coconut oil along with the diet just like adults do. Start children with 1/2 teaspoon each of coconut oil and butter 2 times a day, and gradually increase the amount every 5 days by 1/4 teaspoons per day up to 1 1/2 tablespoons per day of coconut oil, and as much butter as they want (each tablespoon contains 3 teaspoons). Coconut oil can be rubbed into the skin and applied frequently to any rashes and other skin problems. " Bee

Thanks for pointing it out to me. ~Cathe
