Guest guest
Normally I'd chuckle at your tongue-in-cheek humor, Dr. Dan. But I've had another positive EtG (notified on Christmas Eve), didn't drink, and am feeling pretty sure that I'll be kicked out of Diversion this time and will lose my license. I've fought it over and over for 3 1/2 years and there's nothing left to fight. -------------- Original message -------------- From: "danramo" <danramo@...> So now that I am off diversion over Xmas I went on a binge. I had pickles, sardines, pickled turkey gizzards, pickled pork hocks, jalopeno stuffed olives and communion twice. Also two cups of flavored coffee and some type of flaming desert with bananas in it. I take testosterone shots and now I have switched over to a painless rub on gel that is 40% alcohol. I probably have an etg of 4000 but as God as my witness I'm sober and proud of it. And as Tiny Tim said," God bless us,Everyone".Dr.Dan

Guest guest
Dr Dan, I think we all have entertained the thought of living on the edge!! Body sprays etc. Since I was forced out of diversion and in the interim until probation kicked in, I was less concerned with those silly things, remained totally sober, but not paranoid. I will begin probation 12/29, and now live in fear because I know that even with meticulous avoidance of all suspect substances, there is a chance I will have a positive EtG and loose my license. -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: " danramo " <danramo@...> > So now that I am off diversion over Xmas I went on a binge. Guest guest
Lori, I am so sorry. I know how you feel, the despair is unimaginable. I must admit it is so hard to remain positive, but I have to believe somehow the truth will prevail. I am still waiting to hear from the governor and Consumer Affairs. You are the one who started this fight, please stay strong, and take care of yourself. -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: saclorie@... > Normally I'd chuckle at your tongue-in-cheek humor, Dr. Dan. Guest guest
Lori, you are in my prayers. I pray that things will not be as bad as you anticipate and this Etg fiasco will all be over soon. Love, Jackie in NC Re: relapse? > Lorie, PLEASE hang in there. Guest guest
I absolutely cannot understand how " They " can hear this everyday, and deal with those of us who are being truthful and not have a doubt about the test. Carol Bradford, who is over both probation and diversion for the Ca. BRN, told me that eventually " You all " admit to drinking. I know there are some who did drink and are using the false positive as a cover. But how scary is it that eventually they will get away with it when the truth about the test comes out. Everyday this test is used there are more on both sides, the truly innocent and the ones who will ride that bandwagon and are a danger to society. Either way, the impact is beyond comprehension! -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: saclorie@... > Thanks for the support. Guest guest
Hi all, I had Lyme in 06 and used Buhner's protocol. I have been symptom free for 2 years. 3 weeks ago i had the flu, for one week, then I got a sinus infection, then a bronchial cough, now this third week, I am experiencing exhaustion such as I never have except for when I had Lyme. So I'm thinking - maybe a relapse. Another thing I have is extrme thirst, a throat so dry that it wakes me up at night. Has anyone had this associated with Lyme? I haven't come across this symptom. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks, ellen
Guest guest
Careful with extreme thirst. It can be an indicator of Diabetes! You should be looked at by a doctor! > [ ] relapse? > > Hi all, > I had Lyme in 06 and used Buhner's protocol. It could also be a relapse, if there are no other symptoms it is difficult to know for sure. I don't think you ever get 100% free from chronic Lyme, it is waiting for an opportunity to surface again - like when you have another illness or severe stress (= bad for immune system). > Another thing I have is extrme thirst, a throat so dry that it wakes me up at night. Has anyone had this associated with Lyme? > I haven't come across this symptom. Thirst is generally associated with infection. I don't know if there is any real fact behind that, but have read it several times. I recently had something very similar for a few weeks, together with flu-like symptoms (mild fever, night sweats, complete exhaustion, some bone/muscle pain). It is gone now. Maybe the Lymie version of the swine flu?
