Guest guest
> so are you saying that you don't have to take the iodine orally, that you can take it topically and it still works, helps? How much are you adding topically? ======== Hi, To answer your question, " can it be used topically? " . It can be, but Im experimenting both topically and orally with Lugol's Iodine. And Ive been very liberal with the topical applications, while slowly ramping up the Lugols Iodine. Im up to 2 droppers which are glass droppers and marked (each dropper is a ml, being 30-40 drops) in a ltr of water, every other day or so. I can only guess that the topical application is not very effective. As Well, chaps and peels the skin even on non sensitive areas of the skin. The changes Ive noticed overall I think are for the most part from oral application. And while the changes are not leaps I think they are substantial in some ways. I have a better sense of well being meaning I dont have as may feelings of outright illness. I can only guess that its helping regulate hormones and perhaps either killing or making Lyme and possible opportunistic bacteria, fungi, viral etc either turn to cyst form or killing them. Im slowly sleeping less. Ive experienced at first thinning of the blood, but I dont notice that now even though Im taking more. It is doing something, and I think it would be good for those less ill to experiment with, even if it just reduces active Lyme load .. and to help protect against opportunistic infections. Its impacted my energy and memory a bit, not enough though. Its only been a few weeks or so. I have no clue how Lyme responds to Iodine .. is it killed or does it take a proactive stance and turn to cyst form. Iodine goes into each cell and is suppose to be lethal to bacteria's etc. But, I dont know if Lyme has the ability to act in a protective fashion against Lyme. I think it would be good for those that take it to research it .. each person is at a different point of illness and has the possibility to effect each of us differently. My case is extreme Late Stage which caused me to have a heart attack through Hyper-coagulation, and some sort of auto-immune reaction. Ive experienced no negative heart effects other than a few tingles when I first started. But everyone responds differently. At the very beginning take only one drop mixed with juice or milk to make sure your not allergic. I have not read of anyone being allergic/reactive to Iodine, but this poster that Im responding to is, thus taking care should be heeded. Then Start only with 4 drops twice a day in juice or milk to reduce stomach upset which will reside to a great degree in a few weeks. I know add it to one of the two liter bottles of water I drink daily. Increase dose every few days according to individual response and what you learn through research. This is one of those areas where there is controversy between what is taught in med school and what is now known, researched and documented. Here's one good site to start with, but please research more, using many search words with Iodine to find different info. I comparing this site I think its a good basic starter site. http://www.naturalnews.com/023107.html Ive been trying to get an answer to how much Iodine (in mg) I'm actually taking. As Lugols is 2 parts potassium iodide (KI) to 1 part Iodine Iodine (crystal Iodine) I read last night on this site that potassium iodine has 770mg of Iodine per gram. I haven't done the calculations yet. I hope this helps .. I'll report back now and then with any changes.. P.S. Hearing other's experiences would help all of us as well.
