Guest guest
Does anyone have a suggested place to purchase Eleutherococcus, based on the revised Buhner protocol. I have not been able to find a product online that meets the criteria described below. My daughter has been following the Buhner protocol according to Buhner's book since December with lot's of progress, our major symptom to date is fatigue. It appears Eleutherococcus decreases fatigue. Thanks for any advice. Thanks, Jean From the updated Buhner POV: " The third herb is Eleutherococcus. It is a member of the Ginseng family. Buhner only recommends a 1:1 or 1:2 formulation. The tincture should be almost black in color. If it is golden, it is a 1:5 formulation which is not effective for Lyme disease. If fatigue is an issue, the protocol may not be effective without eleutherococcus. The dosage is ½ to 1 teaspoonful upon rising and at lunch. It can lead to insomnia if taken too late in the day. Eleutherococcus stimulates immune function, decreases fatigue, reduces brain fog, and reduces depression. It is a must for anyone with neuro-cognitive Lyme. " ________________________________ From: rasheedaas <rasheedaas@...> Sent: Sun, March 21, 2010 4:49:26 PM Subject: [ ] Buhner's POV/Re: Buhner list  wow - glad to see recognized. thanks for posting this. ellen > > http://www.publiche althalert. org/Articles/ scottforsgren/ Buhner.htm > > From a Source of Profound Insight Comes Hope > A Master's Update on the Treatment of Lyme Disease > > Newest update with his POV. > > Robin >
Guest guest
I get it from Tim in VT, but the color is golden, not dark as he recommends. I was surprised after reading this since Tim is one of the doctors he lists in the back of his book who is familiar with his protocol. I have not been able to find a product online that meets the criteria described below. I buy the concentrated Herb Pharm Eleuthero extract from iherb.com; for customers outside the US that seems one of the very few options. They only have the small bottles though, quite expensive. Guest guest
The herb pharm brand is the only one that Buhner likes. My lyme doc spoke with him and that was what he recommended. Hope this helps. Peggy
