Guest guest
Knotweed, I thought that Lyme was the only thing that affected the CD57. Do you have links for the studies or any other info on the CD57 test. I have been unable to find any additional info on it. Thanks, KO [ ] Re: CD-57 results > > Does anyone know why this would happen after a few months of using Rocephin? just a guess: rocephin, like many other ABX, has an anti-inflammatory action. Maybe this temporarily influences CD57 values? several scientific studies have found NO direct link between CD57 and immune activity (or disease symptoms). AFAIK the only convincing links are in the original studies from Stricker c.s. I think CD57 is an overrated marker. Also keep in mind that it is NOT specific for Borrelia, so it can also be influenced by other infections or immune problems.
Guest guest
Hi - the inventor of the test told us the CD57 count appears to respond to Lyme and not other conditions. - Robin Re: [ ] Re: CD-57 studies? Guest guest
That's what I had read, but I haven't been able to find much on the CD57 other than 2 blurbs.
