My wife buys an over the counter vitamin D3 called Ultra-D3 I think is

solray. It has 5,000 IU per tiny white pill. It brought her d3 from 3 to 35.

The other d's are precursors to the final d3 which is what I believe the

body uses.

My D level is low. I explained to the PCP about D3. She prescribed D, which

is D2 at 50,000 mg to take once a week. the pharmacist tells me it's more

easily absorbed. Am I missing something?

I've read about D3 vs. D.Also sa Rosner's video on U-tube awhile back. I

forget the details but understand their is a distinction. does this

matter?

Be careful with Vitamin D3. Some patients (ME!) do not have favorable reactions

to it. It depends where your disease

is in the inflammation cycle. See Marshall article below for a heads up:

My understanding is that D3 is the form to take. Mercola's web site has a ton

of info on Vit D.

Thanks for sharing!

Dr Marshall is very controversial and there are many who don't believe his

analysis. So everyone needs to make their own mind up as usual.

best,

agree about that, his views are mostly based on theoretical arguments (molecular

modeling etc.). But the funny thing is that the MP treatment protocol has

similar effects to that of ILADS or docters suggesting to use a lot more D3

(over a periode of a few years or so).

Which only shows that we know very little, and that probably none of these

theories is very accurate / reliable.

I also believe that there will be no 'magic bullet' for all... whether abx,

herbals, MP or whatever.... I do think it will turn out to be very much more

complex than we can imagine right now.
