However, everyone is different so YMMV. I would suggest to use it with the full collagen support protocol from Buhner, that should work better than just glucosamine. I have problems with connective tissue disappearing (mostly in the pads of hand, feet, face, shins etc.) but also joint problems which is probably related, it feels like there is no flexible tissue left in the big joints. I tried the Buhner collagen support protocol but have zero improvement. Maybe the Bb soup up my collagen faster than my body can replace it I have read about experimental therapy with hyaluronic acid injections in the joint. That seems to help, but I think it is only a temporary solution, just like when they use this stuff to fill wrinkles.
Guest guest
Teasel is specific for knee joints. I've upped mine recently due to increased knee pain and it seems to be helping. I don't know 'how' it helps, if it repairs collagen or just kills ketes; but it does seem to help with pain and stiffness so something is happening. jo > > Hiya - back in 2007 at the beginning of my illness I tried using glucosamine to help with joint pain. All that ensued was a crunchy feeling in my joints so I decided to stop taking it. Jump forward a couple of years and I have found that my joint pain is becoming more like joint discomfort (uncomfortable as if rubbing) and bone pain plus stiffens. I'm wondering whether the collagen has been completely eaten away. Would glucosamine now be helpful or is there another way to repair collagen damage? I'm currently building up my Cat's Claws, Andragaphis, Reservaterol and due to start Smilax soon! > > Thanks all, > > >
Guest guest
Are you also using Chondroitin? Some research is showing that is actually more important than the glucosamine... > > > > Would glucosamine now be helpful or is there another way to repair collagen damage? > > theoretically it should help, it is one of the few supplements with well proven action. Some research is showing that is actually more important than the glucosamine... no, I use plain glucosamine (I tried a version with chondroitin long ago). AFAIK Buhner says the Chondroitin does not add anything; other sources suggest that maybe it helps if it is from the right source (apparently the available products vary strongly).
