Is there really a difference in the different brands? I always thought that

they were the same as long as you get them in the same form. Personally, I do

fine with the generic brands.

***Okay, thanks Tony. Yes, do cut back on the vitamin C to a dose that does not

cause loose stools, and very slowly increase it.

But also loose stools are created by your body in order to get rid of toxins.

To be sure, don't take the vitamin C for a couple of days and see if you still

have loose stools.

My question is this. I have a fibroid which I have had for several years now.

Can vitamin C cause issues with a fibroid? Shortly after beginning to take the

additional C (several days later) I began to have cramping like menstrual cramps

although I've gone through menopause and there is also a slight discharge. I

went to my Dr and had a thorough checkup and he also sent me for an ultrasound

to see

if the fibroid was growing and it has not - as a matter of fact, it has shrunk

a tiny bit. My uterine walls are a bit thicker though - close to borderline

which scared me. So my question is could the vitamin C be causing the issue

with my fibroid? Because when I take the normal doseage after about 2 days the

cramping is gone and so is the discharge. Also, will this diet help me with the

thickening of my uterine walls?

+++No, vitamin C would not cause any issues anywhere in the body, and instead it

would be healing the area, not harming it. If it makes some area get symptoms

that is because it is creating healing reactions in order to heal.

If your uterine walls are a bit thicker it is due to healing going on in the

area.

Your fibroids themselves have shrunk and it is very possible they will continue

to do so on this program. You can put castor oil packs over the fibroids and

uterus, and leave them on overnight 3 times a week for awhile to help them too:

Hi in Virginia. Welcome to our group. The amount of vitamin C I

recommend is actually the minimum amount needed by anyone who is unhealthy,

according to Orthomolecular Physicians. Orthomolecular means " the preservation

of good health and the treatment of disease by varying the concentrations in the

human body of substances that are normally present in the body. " They do this

with supplements.

Even very high doses of 200,000 mg per day can be taken without any problems -

Vitamin C is water soluble so if you take too much you will get loose stools

which means your body is getting rid of it.

That's why you start with smaller amounts and gradually increase them like I

recommend, because it takes time for vitamin C to saturate the tissues properly.

Hi Bee,

I have another similar question... 

Over the last year or so I've tried to find my bowel tolerance with vit C. I was

never able to get a stool or loose stool. I think I went as high as 12-14 g a

day.

Does this suggest my body is very deficient?

I'm back down to 4 a day along with the rest of the program (Since Nov). Should

I be taking more?

++Hi Lara. This program includes " all of the nutrients " needed to get healthy,

which all work together. Whether your body is saturated with vitamin C or not

doesn't matter.

If you were to enough vitamin C to reach bowel tolerance it isn't going to make

you healthy any faster, nor even help. ALL nutrients are necessary and it will

still takes 1 month of natural healing for every year you've been unhealthy, and

just the diet plus supplements is what does it (along with eliminating toxins

and damaging foods).

+++Hi Anne. I believe your loose stools are due to detoxifying, and not because

of vitamin C. You can continue to increase your vitamin C. Since your stools

are already loose, increase the amount every 3-4 days by 500 mg.

Yes, that is okay if you are not getting loose stools, and had gradually

increase it up to a total of 4,000 mg per day.

Of course it is corn-free. If it wasn't no one on this program would be doing

well.

Vitamin C can be produced from corn, but it changes the corn chemically so the

corn no longer exists.

The vitamin C Extra is a a medium-sized tablet that you can cut it in half so it

is easier to swallow.

When you consider that vitamin C powder contains 2,250 mg per 1/2 teaspoon it

isn't expensive at all. To get 3,000 mg you only need a little more than that,

but you also need to get 1,000 mg from the vitamin C tablet so you are getting

the other co-factors of vitamin C, i.e. bioflavonoids, rutin, etc.

think it is necessary to keep increasing it until you get loose stools. Stay at

that dose for 1 week, and then lower it slowly back to 4,000 mg vitamin C daily.

Continuing to take that much vitamin C for longer periods of time isn't going to

help you.

+++What helps the most is the basics that provide your body with the nutrients

it needs to heal itself the way Nature intended, which are my diet and all of
