Bee, thank you. This is very validating. The " hardening of

lungs " feeling is already reducing, and I keep finding that when my

fats are way up, especially right after a protein-fat meal, I get this

sense of well-being, definately a message that the body loves the high

fat. Good to hear that it is key to my lungs.

One more question. I'm ready to move to antifungals. I would like

to use garlic. But can I pre-crush a few days worth of garlic and

freeze it? I like to take a spoonful of frozen garlic mush with

water. Does it kill the important nutrients?

==>That's great about your lungs Joanna. Yes, freezing garlic won't

damage it. That is a great way to get it.

Hi Sam,

this is from the " Candida Supplements " list:

+++++++++++++++

Vitamin C, containing rosehips, citrus bioflavonoids, hesperidin and

rutin. Note: Some vitamin C supplements may not contain all of these

substances, which is fine. If you get loose stools taking 4,000 mgs

per day you might need to start with less and gradually increase it.

It is less expensive to take ascorbic acid powder or crystals instead

of vitamin C tablets. If you want to take ascorbic acid take 3,000 mg

per day along with 1,000 mg vitamin C tablet = 4,000 mg vitamin C per

day. Because ascorbic acid can cause an upset stomach it is best to

take it with meals. Also it is hard on the teeth so rinse your mouth

well after drinking it.

Vitamin C Dose: Take 4,000 mg in divided doses.

++++++++++++++++++++

hope that helps,

jackie

Hi Bee,

On this note, I take 500mg bioflavs with every meal along with

ascorbic acid powder(anywhere between 1000mg and 3000mg a meal) is

this enough bioflavs to take with such an amount of ascorbic?

Thanks so much,

.

==>Yes that is fine. You also get bioflavonoids from foods.

Please read Bee's file, " How to Successfully Overcome Candida " as it

will answer this question, and many others you probably have.

OUCH!!! What a bad way for someone to give a complement!!! :) I

learned LONG AGO never to ask a woman if she's pregnant, because much

of the time one likes like she is, she's NOT! :)

> What's a good dose to start on vitamin C? I bought 1,000 mg tablets

and was planning on taking one a day, then working up. But I just read

somewhere that vitamin C can cause stomach problems in huge doses, and

they considered 1,000 mg a huge dose. Having Crohn's, I really don't

need any more stomach problems.

==>It wouldn't be vitamin C that causes stomach problems.

Orthmolecular physicians recommend at least 4,000 mg vitamin C per day

for everyone, even healthy people. To avoid stomach problems take it

with complete meals, and yes you are correct to only gradually increase

vitamin C. If you take more than your body can handle it will cause

loose stools, but if you do it gradually you'll find you can take at

least 4,000 mg per day.

doesn't have those additives. See this:

Hi :

Here is a link on Bee's website to her Amazon page, it lists several other forms

of Natural

Factor Viamin C options. The time-release version has 25 mg of calcium and it

says it

includes soy beans which we try to avoid.

Here's the link:

+++Hi there. Welcome to our group What is your name?

Do not be concerned about how much rose hips are in vitamin C

supplements. Your body will get what it needs from the forms of

vitamin C I recommend - see this article for details:

One source I found interesting is http://www.lymephotos.com/index.shtml

They suggest using Vit. C with 'realsalt' or sea salt. I am convinced that

Vit C. is good either with or without the salt because of how it ehances

immune 'activity'. Their suggested protocol is at their site.

> Hi Bee, I noticed that you told a member to order natural factors vit c in

tablet form. the one I ordered (and I'm due for a reorder) is the one in capsule

form (natural factors). Would I better benefit from the vit. c in its tablet

form?

+++Hi Phyllis. Here's the instructions about vitamin C from my articles:

Vitamin C

Buy a tablet that contains rosehips, citrus bioflavonoids, hesperidin and rutin.

Some vitamin C brands may not contain all of these substances, which is fine

too. Start with 500 mg twice a day and gradually increase it to avoid getting

loose stools (diarrhea), until you are able to take 4,000 mg per day total.

Ascorbic acid powder or crystals are much less expensive to take than vitamin C

tablets. If you wish to take ascorbic acid, take 3,000 mg per day and 1,000 mg

vitamin C tablet, which is a total of 4,000 mg vitamin C per day.

Because ascorbic acid can upset the stomach it is best to take it with meals.

Also it can be hard on the teeth, so rinse your mouth well after drinking it.

Vitamin C Dose: Take 1,000 mg 4 times a day = 4,000 total per day. Start with

500 mg twice a day and gradually increase it to avoid getting loose stools.

There is an entire support group dedicated to people using Salt/C for Lyme.

It was very effective for my wife and I have collected allot of testimonials

from others it has worked for on my free Lyme resource CD.

because of the rose hips as bioflavaniods and ascorbic acid, also because its

>

> Also, I take thyroid meds as my TSH was 150 before I started taking meds!!!!

Should I reduce as I start to feel better or start to get off the meds as soon

as possible. I know your not a doctor, but I really respect your opinion. Ive

tried quitting them before and phew I felt awful....

+++Hi Tony. Even though the vitamin C is derived from corn it is changed

chemically so no corn is in it. Also it does not contain rutin, hesperidin and

bioflavonoids which are co-factors of vitamin C, so I think you should get the

kind I recommend on my iHerb page:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/resource/iherb.php

If a food allergy test indicated you were allergic to corn, see this article as

to why such tests are totally wrong:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/allergy4.php

Like many people on this program your thyroid will recover and normalize. In

order to determine " when " to cut back on thyroid meds, you need to figure how

many months of healing it will take, i.e. it takes 1 month for every year.

So if you had low thyroid for 10 years, it would take 10 months of healing. So

how many years have you had thyroid problems, and then I can advise you.

All the best, Bee
