andrographis and progesterone production

I read in Healing Lyme that andrographis inhibits progesterone

production. Is there a way to counterbalance that effect? I'm

entering peri-menopausal years and need to use natural progesterone

cream to help with the symptoms of PMS. Am concerned that

andrographis could make the PMS worse. Anyone with experience with

this? Thanks, Jackie

I can't help you TOO much since I haven't had THAT problem as yet.

LOL. However, you might try taking Stephania Root instead of Andro.

Jim.

And what about the 11-years-old adolescence girl? Is it safe to use

big doses of andrographis (6 capsules a day) during a long time? What

may be taken instead?

Regards from Poland

It would depend on the size and system of this young girl, but 6 pills a day is

not a big dose of andro. 16 or so would be considered a big dose, according to

Buhner.

with ALL children under 16 I always urge caution--and to seek an experienced

herbalist and/or medical professional for guidance--you can post directly to

Buhner on Planet Thrive or call one of the herbalists he suggests in the back of

his book--Im sure even in Poland / Eastern Europe there are herbalists or you

can email someone in the US or Europe

MORE than weight and size come into play with kids--hormones are changing and

growth and development are all in flux and? they will react very differently to

almost anything--children arent simply small adults

just like women arent simply small men ( a mistake that until recently even

cardiologists were making at the higher risk of death for us gals)

always, please be careful with kids
