Guest guest
Someone shared this with me a year ago - instructions on how to do a " mini coffee enema " . I personally have not tried it but I am considering it. deb I do a CE every morning now. It's the best part of my detox program. Then someone shared an easier way. First of all, make sure you have a B. M. first, as two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time. (No, I don't follow this with a water enema; the CE is effective without it.) Then, in a small teapot with a narrow spout, heat 6-7 oz distilled water in microwave for 20 seconds. Add, 1 teaspoon of organic, instant coffee (I use Mount Hagen organic coffee with caffeine) for a start. If this doesn't jazz you too much, you can add more next time. Pour this into an 8oz enema bulb (Faultless makes one; looks like a really large turkey baster bulb) For your first time, you may want to do the waterproofed mat in the bathroom thing, just to see how you manage the possible feeling of pressure or urgency. My second time, I simply put a small waterproof mat covered by a towel on my bed; so comfortable and 'un-urgent' this experience proved to be. Apply some coconut oil to tip and also to your 'target.' Lie on your right side. Take a deep breath and consciously relax. Really, the first time is the hardest and weirdest and your aim will improve within days. Go slow and back off if something hurts. The coconut oil should help things go smoothly, though. In my first week, I offended a small blood vessel and had a little bleed with the next B.M. I skipped that day, to heal it before resuming. That hasn't happened since, and it's been many many months, doing a CE almost every day. Squeeze in as much coffee as you can and gently withdraw tip (angled up a bit so you don't pour whatever's left in the bulb onto the mat.) Snuggle in under the covers. Read an engrossing book. It shouldn't be hard to lie comfortably for at least 15-20 min. Calmly visit your bathroom to evacuate. Get on with your day. Google coffee enemas for all the science behind why this practice is so helpful to the liver and GB. The whole exercise takes just a half hour of my morning, unless I'm reading a real page-turner. The only other delay can come from waiting for that first natural B.M. Granted, you will be stimulating your liver with a lesser quantity of coffee than using a large, elevated enema bag, but it's so easy that you can routinely do it once a day with no great discomfort or trauma. If you're herxing or want to do extra detox, you can do more in a day. The best thing about this low volume method is that it's so very easy to comply.
