Hello all,

I have had Lyme for over 20 years.

I had horrendous perimenopaus symptoms and began bio identical HRTs. My doc and

I both thought that since I was low in estrogen and had these symptoms, my body

needed the extra hormones. My bad sympotms were beleived to be caused at least

in part by Lyme.

I now have breast cancer, a type that feeds on estrogen and progesterone, the

bioidentical kind. If I had not used HRT's I likely would not have breast

cancer.' I was diagnosed 6 weeks ago and have already had one surgery and am

facing lots more bad stuff. My cancers are very " estrogen dependent " , meanign

they feed on estrogen and progesterone.

I would give anything to be able to go back and not have taken them.

Please all you women out there, the cancer risk is real. And please, make sure

to get digital mammograms. This is the newest techmology. It finds microscopic

cancers, which mine was. No lumps. Would not have shown up on the old kind of

machine. For me this means that it has not become 'invasive " , has not spread

through my body at all so i am not facing possible death from it, though I am

facing bad surgeries etc. If I had waited until I could feel something or until

the old mammo machine had found the cancers, I would be facing a life

threatening cancer alogn with needing chemo and surgeries.

Hope this might save some of you from haviong to get cancer. LYme is bad enough.

Dont add breast cancer to the list!

Beth
