Testimony for the Buhner Protocol

I don't have time to write a full account, but I was just thinking

about the changes since I went on the protocol just a few months ago.

Today I am able to walk to the Post Office, thinking nothing of it,

whereas a few months ago it was a slow and very painful process, in

fact most of the time I just chose not to walk.

But there's more. At the post office, I asked the fellow who waited on

me how he was doing and he smiled and asked if I was out for a walk. I

was able to answer breezily, with a smile. Before the herbs I was

unable to have carefree, friendly exchanges with people like that.

Some kind of dread paralyzed me and no doubt made me seem unpleasant,

even creepy.

The same with dealing with neighbors. Neighbors on both sides are very

different from us, in attitude and politics and the way they keep

their properties. I am more of a wild garden kind of person and they

are meticulous. Guilt used to keep me from feeling at ease with them.

Now I feel okay and relations have become friendly. One helped us

recently and I baked them some gingerbread. The other was curious

about our heirloom tomatoes and I took some over to their house.

These are small things to a normal person, I guess, but for me they're

huge! All of those spirochetes swimming around in my head kept me from

normal relations with people for decades. Now the dread and paranoia

are gone, or all but gone. I've even finished a book I've been working

on for 7 or more years. I may never get a publisher, but just

finishing it feels like a victory. (And, yes, I did have a major

character die of acute babesia after an undetected tick bite.)

So I want to say thank you to everyone here and to Buhner. The

doctor just told me I had arthritis and my Lyme test was negative:

take lots of ibuprofen and try to work around it. As for the

depression, it was just who I was, and even though anti-depressants

helped, I was never well.

I know I could relapse, but if I do I know what to do. I know it's not

the same for everyone, but for me things are so much better. I wish

the same for everybody!
