Guest guest
Since Pam mentions Cipro, I want to say that the fluoroquinolines (of which Cipro is just one) are some of the most awful 'medicines' devised by human. There is a book whose title escapes me at the moment, a woman was given a fluoroquinoline for a bladder infection. A bladder infection of course , while painful, is not life-threatening. And if one insists on taking an abx for it, there are plenty which are effective. Doctors however often like to give the " latest and best " . This woman suffered permanent disability. She had been a writer, and after a short time on this abx - in addition to visits to the emergency room to save her life - her cognitive abilities were permanently impaired. Her husband is an investigative reporter, and he researched and wrote a book on the subject. There is an entire web group devoted to the monstrous effects of these abx. Sometimes *one* dose can result in permanent harm. It is appalling that these drugs remain on the market. ellen- -- In , Pam Norman <pam_norman@...> wrote: > > Cipro is a prime offender for Cdiff.
