Guest guest
In your original post, you mentioned tender feet and carpal tunnel - both are incredibly common with underactive thyroid situations. I have no idea about the fingertips, and skin. But I do know that when lyme effects your thyroid, or pituitary (resulting in underactive thyroid and other things), it can induce this state. I am having some problems with that and it seems to be slowly changing as I treat the infection. Have you had any workups done for 'ancillary fallout'? Perhaps there is something else that can be supplemented or treated.

I'm suspecting thyroid problems, but the testing here is very basic and they say the results were within normal parameters. But there are a lot of cues that could point to low thyroid: I had very low temperatures until about a year ago (now almost normal), strong weight loss, hair loss, etc. I'm not sure where to start, my impression is that thyroid problems are not diagnosed/treated very often in my country (Netherlands). it's a bit weird though that while most of my lyme symptoms have receded, and my temperature and weight are going back to more normal values, the fingertip problems are getting much worse.
