Tinctures vs. powder

My child cannot swallow pills, so I've bought the tinctures for Eleuthero and

Cat's Claw--both Herb Pharm. I'm going to order via Woodland Essence the

Japanese Knotweed and Cryptolepis, but I'm now wondering if one herbal

preparation (tincture vs powder) is better than the other?

Also, how do I convert either tincture or powder into Buhner's required capsule

mg? For example, how many drops and/or how many teaspoons would equal 500 mg

Cats' Claw or Japanese Knotweed and the same question for Cryptolepis (though

I'm not quite sure what the mg requirement is for that since it isn't in his

book, but I believe it is work up to 1 tsp 3x daily w/o going over 30 days of

use. Is that right?)

(The Eleuthero is simple since he states it clearly in his book.)

My child is roughly 100 pounds, so I'm thinking she can slowly work up to adult

doses.

Oh, and can all drops (if I go that route) be mixed together and drunk at the

same time? Any thoughts on hours to wait between herbs and abx and other

supplements?

Thanks for your help! This is all very overwhelming.
