Alcohol used for extractions

Grain alcohol, like Everclear and vodka, can be irritating to the intestinal

lining. So I've

found out the hard way. According to the herb groups I have gone on, grape

alcohol is the

best thing to use for herbal extracts. The place they buy it is alcsol.com.

Unfortunately, it

is $180 a gallon sent to my address. Shipping + hazmat shipping.

Someone gave me 75 pounds of free organic grapes. I have mashed them in food

grade

plastic buckets and added yeast I got from the wine store. This should make

about 5

gallons of wine but the alcohol yield will only be about 10% due to the poor

condition of the

grapes. With my next check, I will purchase a still and make my own 190 proof

organic

grape alcohol. I'm contacting milehidistilling and looking at a reflux pot.

The longer I take herbs, the more I appreciate that I must keep my intestines in

as good a

shape as possible. If the grape alcohol works out, I will be extracting

everything I can to

spare my digestive system which I'm having plenty of problems with. If you can

afford it, I

suggest you try extracting with the alcsol.com grape alcohol. Alternatively, if

you have a

good source of grapes...
