Tinctures--removing the alcohol?

I was advised that to remove the alcohol from the tinctures/extracts I could

place the drops into extremely hot water and let sit for 1/2 hour.

My questions are:

1) Hot water as in boiling water that has somewhat cooled?

and

2) Does the hot heat from the water diminish the efficacy of the herbal extract?

Thank you!

Mira,

People have different opinions about this (as with anything else)....

my understanding is that very hot water (almost boiling) is fine. I don't

believe that the heat from the water will diminish the efficacy of the herbal

extract.

This is how I take all tinctures, as i'm alcohol sensitive.

Peace, ease,

yarrow
