Hi,

I am new to the group, I have had lyme for over ten years, with possible

reinfection last year (according to id doc) and I have so many questions to ask

this group myself that I have been overwhelmed with where to start. However,

this is an urgent matter. My best friend found a tick inbedded in her eleven

year old son's neck last night. SHe brought him to her pedi and he said he would

not give antibiotics, so she went to another Doc this morning who is going to

give her son a two week course of amoxcillian. Is this the right drug? Should it

be a longer course? What lab should she get him tested through in a couple of

weeks? We are in the Boston area? Does anyone have some other tips to help him

avoid the curse of LYme disease?

Thank you in advance to all of you! I would also like to add that since I joined

this group a couple weeks ago, I have felt less alone in the isolation of this

disease. I have been told I have lymphoma, hep c, sarcoid, scleroderma etc. and

seen more physicians than one would think is humanly possible. I have been

tossed around from sub speciality to sub speciality (due to multi organ

involvement and I have yet to get any relief or answers. I have taking

ceftriaxone for four months, doxi, dr. donta's protocol with biaxin and malaria

drug and I am still so sick. So, if anyone has any extra time and can help me

understand how to start introducing herbs, etc, I have very little knowledge of

the homeopath approach and my mind is so foggy lately, To the other Dory, my

family calls me that too :) Thanks and good health to all~
