Guest guest
Oh, so sorry that you are getting so sick. But, unfortunately, it could be one of the sides from the combo. I would talk to my doctor...there are med's you can get that help that. There is no reason to suffer like that. Good Luck! Betty
Guest guest
Yes Edie, I had it happened when I was younger and I did get black eyes. Parents were told I had a bad Vit B and C deficency, I also had ITP, (congenital), so the Platelet thing was there also. I have found something that is helping my nausea/vomiting it is Ginger capsules. They have them at GNC for $6.99, so far they have been working pretty good till today. I think the reason today is not so good is because I didn't eat anything but a few saltines and drank some OJ......Connie __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I've never experienced that but I do know that one of the best things for nausea is ginger root. I use ginger root tea because I figure it gets in my system faster but it does have a little bite to it. They also sell ginger capsules in health stores and candied ginger. tatezi Edie wrote: > I've been on combo treatment for 15 weeks. > > Has anyone ever vomited so badly that tiny red areas under the skin > around both eyes appeared? I assumed that my body was overloaded with toxins, hence the nausea and other GI symptoms. So my question is this: is extreme nausea/daily vomiting a " normal " reaction to killing Lyme? Perhaps a better way to put it is, how within normal limits is it? I had strong nausea/vertigo soon after stopping my ABX treatment; this disappeared pretty soon when starting Buhner herbs. During Buhner treatment I have had some sudden bad episodes, some resembling the 'food poisoning'. Yes, I think it may be toxin overload and it is best to back off for some time then, try to detox and then start again. trouble is, everybody is different, some of us have different infections (different Bb strains, coinfections) and different disease history. So it is very difficult to say what is 'normal'.
Guest guest
If I was having such strong symptoms I would stop all meds and let the body rest until the symptoms stopped and then gradually add them back in one at a time (with at least 3-5 days before starting another one). I would also take something to evacuate my bowels unless that is already moving really well. Other detoxing things you could try would be benodite clay (sp?), chorella, red root, dry brushing. I like rotating the bug killers rather than using them all at once. Way too hard on my system. Good luck, Connie [ ] nausea/vomiting Hi all: For the past 3 weeks or so, I have experienced nausea with increased bloating/cramping, and every night for the past 4 night I have been either vomiting or dry heaving, depending on whether I ate anything that day. (I can't seem to handle more than two bites of soup, a handful of pretzels, and some Gatorade.) I'm on the Marshall Protocol phase 2 (2 very low-dose antibiotics), and have been for at this level or higher most of the year. I added some herbs from Buhner's protocol about 6 weeks ago (Japanese knotweed, sarsasparilla, and some vitamins). It's safe to say that the tummy problems have come since I increased the herbs, along with some other side effects (low-level headaches and eye pain), but nothing seemed so extreme that I needed to lower the dose until about 2 weeks ago, and I cut them out altogether last week. The vomiting came ironically enough once I stopped them altogether. Physically it has felt like a cross between food poisoning and a righteous hangover since before the vomiting. I assumed that my body was overloaded with toxins, hence the nausea and other GI symptoms. So my question is this: is extreme nausea/daily vomiting a " normal " reaction to killing Lyme? Perhaps a better way to put it is, how within normal limits is it? Again I want to stress that I really didn't feel like I was going overboard with any meds; though I had noticed an increase in side effects, noting seemed even close to out of control. Now I've temporarily quit the herbs and even the abx from the MP, in order to give my body some time to detoxify. I just want to know if the vomiting is for some of us par for the course, or something I should be more worried about. My GP is nice but I'm his first Lymie, so methinks the feedback I get from y'all will be more helpful! Cheers,
Guest guest
Thanks for the replies. Good to know that at least one other person has had this reaction before. There's always the possibility that I have nothing more exciting than the stomach flu. I tend to think it's LD-related, but sometimes I am (we are?) so focused on looking through a LD-lens that other possibilities may escape us. Guest guest
Hiya - I had recently started a protocol of 12.5 days Cat's Claw a day off in between & then 12.5 days Banderol. The Banderol I have really struggled with & moved up very slowly to increase the dose - stopping every time I got severe head & neck pain. Eventually I made it up to 12 drops twice a day & then the next morning awoke with the room spinning. That day I was sick in the hallway - I tried to rush to the bathroom but my dizziness made it difficult to get there in one piece so just collapsed on the floor! I decided to hold back on the Banderol (had reached 12 days on it anyway). Bit by bit over three days the dizziness & nausea subsided & now finally cleared. I'm not sure whether it was a coincidence & just a stomach bug going around or not, but I reckon time will tell when I go back on the Banderol next time!! Wish me luck > > > > > > > Physically it has felt like a cross between food poisoning and a righteous hangover since before the vomiting. Guest guest
Hi Connie - yeah, I always describe myself as an 'awkward' patient - I tend to react to everything from antibiotics to painkillers to anti-imflammatries. What a pain in the rear end! My mum's as bad so I must have inherited her 'sensitive genes'. Coffee used to make me fall asleep with the cup still in my head - really strange. It I take it too early it gives me awful tummy ache & too late it will keep me awake too. I've gone caffeine free these days with herbals teas or low caffeine green or white teas but I do have a weak spot for nescafe cappucino mix which is probably full of naff stuff but that's my one daily treat > > > > > > > > > > > Physically it has felt like a cross between food poisoning and a righteous hangover since before the vomiting.
