Guest guest
Boneset (helps me so much with Bart flare-ups) Eleutherococcus (a close 2nd - can feel it immediately) Knotweed (honorable mention - Obvious immune effects - not as much help with inflammation as I thought. Although maybe I undertreat Lyme and that is main cause of knee and neck inflammation)
Guest guest
I think Teasel Root helped my joint pains - they seem to be worse since coming off it. I'm on Banderol at the moment so stopped teasel with a view to going back on it later. I also like my Cat's Claw Red Root is next on my list to try... Sadly Andrographis gave me a rash so am taking that 2 weeks at a time every now & then which helps me better! > > Boneset > (helps me so much with Bart flare-ups) > > > Eleutherococcus > (a close 2nd - can feel it immediately) > > > Knotweed > (honorable mention - Obvious immune effects - not as much help with inflammation as I thought. Guest guest
I like Cat's Claw or Samento the best. Wormwood is very good for me as well. I mostly have Babesia symptoms. Guest guest
I don't think I could ever have one favorite herb, but i'd love to share some of the plants that i've been enjoying which aren't necessarily specific for lyme, yet they are helpful for the body as a whole in different ways: roasted dandelion root along with roasted chicory root: great to add to some low acid organic decaf-coffee or to have without the coffee.....wonderful blend for the liver and digestive system as a whole. Nourishing and full of nutrients.....and at the same time cleansing in a very gentle way. wood betony: a wonderful herb for the nervous system.....my herb books are filled with pages about this herb. Gentle and balancing. This herb relaxes and strengthens the nervous system. wood betony also helps the brain....headaches, neuralgias, vertigo, brain fog, etc. wood has a lot to say about this herb in " the Book of Herbal Wisdom " ...(highly recommended resource). He recommends this herb for people who are frail, needing more circulation and grounding. Blue Vervain: a helpful herb for relaxation and calming tense muscles. Fine for men or women.....and for women it is great for peri-menopause or premenstrual tension. It can be used for seizures and fevers as well. These are just a few of my favorite herbs friends.....Hey , thanks for asking! peace and ease, yarrow > > Boneset > (helps me so much with Bart flare-ups) > > > Eleutherococcus > (a close 2nd - can feel it immediately) > > > Knotweed > (honorable mention - Obvious immune effects - not as much help with inflammation as I thought. Guest guest
Great list. I've often thought of adding Blue Vervain - but I'm under the impression that Boneset functions the same. What are most people doing to repair nerves? I've heard St s Wort (but I don't want the anti-sun side effects) anything else good for nerve repair? > > > > Boneset > > (helps me so much with Bart flare-ups) > > > > > > Eleutherococcus > > (a close 2nd - can feel it immediately) > > > > > > Knotweed > > (honorable mention - Obvious immune effects - not as much help with inflammation as I thought. Guest guest
Hi , You could muscle test for the St. 's wort. Herbpharm makes a nervous system blend that i've found helpful at times. Other herbs that nourish the nervous system gently......linden, scullcap, oat straw or seed. Passionflower. The list goes on, but these come to me in the moment. Guest guest
I would like to add Curcumin to this lovely list of herbs, its very helpful for the immune system as well, for inflammation too. Guest guest
Against shoulder/neckpain: Kudzu (Pueraria lobata) Both my GF and I were suffering from stiff neck etc. She has a serological confirmed Bart+Borr infection, bitten 1,5 year ago; I'm ill for over 25 years, symptoms of both Bart and Borr, sero-negative. Following a text by Greg Lee: http://www.twofrogscenter.com/put_out_burning_bartonella.html He suggest taking Kudzu with Houttuynia against stiff neck. I also found this usage in these documents (without Houttuynia): http://oneearthherbs.squarespace.com/downloads/BestOfTheBestHerbs.pdf http://medherb.com/eletter/Lyme-Winston.pdf For me, it surely helped somewhat, but I started it few weeks earlier with azithromycine, which helped already a lot. For my GF, it worked wonders! First day it hurted a lot more, 2nd day the pain was gone for 90%!. We're both on a Buhner protocol-variation, extended with Houttuynia.
