olive leaf extract for candida treatment?

I'm thinking about using olive leaf extract for candida problems in mouth and

gut. If anyone has suggestions what type/brand to use, or alternatives please

let me know. I usually buy from iHerb as they are fast and cheap for shipping to

Europe, or First Chinese for bulk herbs.

My Spanish family has an organic plantation with olive trees (and lots of other

stuff), so possibly I could ask them for fresh or dried leaves and make my own

extract. Anybody experience with that?

I have had thrush (light brown color) on the tongue ever since my ABX course 4

years ago. Unable to get rid of it with normal means like mouthwash. I can brush

it away, but it will usually be back the next morning.

I also have lots of gut problems with bloating and cramping, that might be

caused by candida (just a guess though). These gut issues started together with

other Lyme problems, and got worse after ABX treatment. I have a relatively

healthy diet and sometimes use standard probiotics, but it doesn't seem to help.

At one time I have tried Ozovit (Magnesium Peroxide, strong oxidant) which helps

with the gut problems but only temporarily.

My personal favorite brands for herbs....meaning those i consider having the

highest quality, in no particular order:

eclectic institute

gaia herbs

herb pharm

There are many other reputable companies who use pure and organic/wildcrafted

ingredients. These (above) are easy to obtain on line (i herb), at least in the

States.

I also use some supplements made by pure encapsulations (such as melatonin .5

mg., etc.) as they add no fillers. i get the pure encapsulation products from

here: https://www.professionalsupplementcenter.com/

Olive leaf is effective for many people. The one i have on my shelf is olive

leaf by eclectic institute. Potent capsules. Hope it helps....

Another product you might want to consider, Knotweed (or anyone else) for the

gut issues is from Rain Tree ....it is called " amazon a-p " .....this product

has helped me considerably with the gut and stomach pain and bloating.

Hi again, just want to add to this message that i see that Rain Tree also makes

a " myco " blend, which you might be interested in. I've never used that one. I

use their cats claw and amazon a-p.

Peace and ease,

thanks, those were the companies that looked most promising to me, but it is

good to hear it from someone in the US. I don't know anyone locally who has

experience with this.

thanks, will look into that, and add the yarrow product that you suggested some

time ago for circulation problems in the fingers.

I think you can just use the leaves as they are (organic is of course

excellent). Some make tea of it, I just take ±500 mg 3 a day, just like knotweed

powder.

I'm just tought of another thing that's working for me, batling off candida: I

chew a few times a day on 2 or 3 cloves. It only works if you do it often

enough, I tend to forget it, but with 3 a 4 times it day, for me it works.

i've used olive leaf extract for yeast. i take when i am taking antibiotics. it

also works for some viruses and bacteria. you can make olive leaf tea if you get

the leaves.

i've seen 2 different recipes on line, one with lemons added and one without. i

think the lemons are for the vit C to help with herx reactions.

Recipe to make your own tea from leaves:

10g Olive leaf tea.

2 quarts water.

Boil two quarts of good water, place olive leaf tea

(alone or mixed with other herbs/teas) in a tea cozy

or directly into the boiling water. Immediately reduce

heat to a high simmer and let tea brew for approximately

fifteen minutes. Stir tea occasionally, strain to drink

and/or refrigerate. Tea should be a medium amber color

with a slightly bitter taste. To combat a specific ailment,

sip refrigerated or re-heated tea and consume entire

two quarts over a three day period.

thanks!

regarding the lemons: I have heard several times from people from less developed

countries that they drink plenty of water with lemon juice for a day, or a few

days, to get rid of certain illness like possible gut infections. Sometimes they

add a bit of olive oil (which makes it a bit similar to the liver cleanse

protocols I have read about).

thanks for the suggestion. I just noticed that the health food shop has fresh

organic sauerkraut. This is a good alternative to 'probiotics'.

I have to start slowly, because I had serious trouble digesting that type of

food over the last (I guess stuff with high sulfur content, like cabbage,

certain beans, pea soup etc.).

Our daughter has been taking syntol for yeast. She has had no side effects

and it seems to be working.

We did the test using saliva in the water and it was very obvious she had it

and then we had her tested.

Husband did it to his showed nothing in the glass …mine showed very little.

The organic sauerkraut sounds

like a great idea too. It is a scary thing to have especially added to the

lyme.
