Guest guest
, Is your daughter on any antibiotics for her lyme? Sometimes in the beginning of treatment it helps to be on both antibiotics and some supplements. My son had very bad lyme disease with co-infections for many years and he had many problems with his stomach. Some of the problems were due to the lyme itself and once his lyme got better, his stomach problems got better. I know that swallowing a lot of pills for a child is difficult, especially when they are nauseous. Perhaps an effective antibiotic and less supplements in the beginning may work better for her. Once she starts to feel better, she may be able to tolerate more supplements. Just a thought. Good luck! I know it's hard to see your child suffering! Guest guest
Hi Anita: We are opting for natural methods at this time. I should probably slow down, breathe, feel my feelings vs acting from them, and just allow the practitioners to treat her and stop adding things in myself (garlic and CS) in an attempt to get her better Now! She was dx'd 2 years ago with eosinophilic gastroenteritis which causes nausea and pain. I searched high and low for answers for that disease with " no cure " . Our LLMD said so far, all of his pt's with eosinophilic disorders test positive for Lyme, and indeed, she did. The nausea may be from the EGiD/Lyme, and it may be a virus. G-ma was also nauseous last 2 days too........my mind went to worst case scenario " oh no! lyme/mono is getting worse! " when in fact, it could have been something else. I have been reminded on this post and others this week that patience and pacing is what is needed, and I am grateful for the reminder to keep perspective. Our LLMD knows of our LLND and used to work in the same clinic with our DC. He has many pt's on abx, and has also had many pt's get better using alternative means. He assured me last week that we WILL get better, and sympathized with me as I lamented that I often get anxious and don't know WHICH path of healing to take. Like he and many others have said, no one treatment works for everyone; it is trial and error. Tonight, I feel that a calm, centered mom may be as equally important for her healing as any mechanical thing we can do. Thanks for everyone's help. > > , > > > > Is your daughter on any antibiotics for her lyme? Sometimes in the > beginning of treatment it helps to be on both antibiotics and some > supplements.
