Guest guest
> > Do the antibiotics/herbs have negative side effects for everyone or just those with Lyme Disease? antibiotics have negative side effects for most people, if you take them long enough. But it depends strongly on the person and the ABX type/dose that is taken. Probably lymies are more at risk because their detox load is higher. Side effects of the Buhner herbs are relatively mild, mostly gut disturbance and a rare allergic reaction to andrographis. P.S.: antibiotics and herbs also can have positive side effects, e.g. many popular antibiotics have anti-inflammatory action and some like rocephin can have benefits for brain chemistry. > Is any indication of how long it takes before someone begins to feel better? not really: some people see clear improvement within a week, others no improvement for months. Guest guest
I don't know the answer to this, but I'm curious if anyone knows the answer, as well. Connie [ ] Negative side effects of treatment apply to all people or only those with Lyme? I'm new to this post and to Lyme Disease in general. I have more chronic problems that have persisted for approximately 10 years that initially presented as neurological in nature. One of my doctors who is lyme literate, has been treating me for Lyme Disease, though I'm not positive by CDC standards. I've just finished a month of antibiotics and am three weeks into the core Buhner protocol. It's definitely been rough going since I started this treatment with no improvement so far. Guest guest
People without lyme can have GI upset etc with the herbs, but not herxing type systoms if the do not have lyme. I asked that of Bruhner and Dr. Cowden early on in my search for an answer before i had my diagnosis. I hope this helps From: Connie Blaze <connieblaz@...> Subject: Re: [ ] Negative side effects of treatment apply to all people or only those with Lyme? Guest guest
Thanks-your reply does help. I've had a mild reaction GI-wise, expecially when I take the herbs with food. I didn't have much trouble with the antibiotics-though I don't want to take another round of them. But the increased fatigue, floaters, joint pain, etc have been harder to manage. I'll keep checking in on this post so I can learn more... > > > From: Connie Blaze <connieblaz@...> > Subject: Re: [ ] Negative side effects of treatment apply to all people or only those with Lyme? > > Date: Tuesday, September 7, 2010, 11:58 AM > > > Â > > > > I don't know the answer to this, but I'm curious if anyone knows the answer, as well. > > Connie > > [ ] Negative side effects of treatment apply to all people or only those with Lyme? > > I'm new to this post and to Lyme Disease in general. Guest guest
 ,  One of the Herx'ing effects for me are the following increase in symptoms...  Treating Babesia I have increased anxiety and fatigue if I am not detoxing well (liver, lymph system and kidneys..oh and bowles) So I have to take homeopathic drops to help those systems to drain. When I added Vit C, Pregnenalone, DHEA and Vitamin B-12 injectable it did also help me a great deal. Next we are adding injectable magnesium.  Treating Bartonella and Bb I get increased GI stuff, joint and bone pain and tremor if I don't keep things moving again as above.  Although I have bad days when I do have clear/good days they are very good and that gives me great hope during my healing.  I do hope this helps some and gives you some comfort.  Blessings, From: kllybnntt <kllybnntt@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Negative side effects of treatment apply to all people or only those with Lyme?
