tick bite 2weeks ago took 1500mg amoxicillian per day (cant do antibiotics)

took doxy next day after bite but found they gave me nightmares and ached all

over managed to change prescription to amoxicillin , no nightmare just made me

fill ill and ache end of day. Don't think its herx but just can't handle

antibiotics. Have finished short 7 day dose, tick removed cleanly within 5 hours

or less and was well before taking antibiotics. A week since completing

antibiotics have strange ached and pains all day but feel well. Have started

Samento extract from Reo health and Banderol, (had these strange aches and pains

before taking these tinctures). I hope its still the antibiotics in my system

quite to that sort of thing , also have problem with Gilberts syndrome. Can

someone recommend other herbs that would not be to much to take that would work

alongside the current samento and Banderol. I have

Buhner's book Healing Lyme and understand he suggest japanese knotweed

but concerned about how much I should take and where to buy from , I am in the

Uk but can order happily from America, keen to find something not to

overpowering and easy to take, would appreciate it very much if anybody can help

doesn't he say in his book that antibiotics are good for early treatment?

this is your only shot to get the spirochetes before they cycle and

multiply. success rate is enormously high for antibiotic treatment in the

begining. the achiness is a classic symptom of herxing for me and not a side

effect of the antibiotics. you just might find that whenever you take

anything (natural or not) that kills the spirochetes and they release their

neurotoxins you will get achy. obviously you will do what you feel is best

but i personally would urge you to stick it out through the 6 weeks of

antibiotics since it is so successful with early bite treatment. 6 weeks

compared to the rest of your life....
