I think the concerns FDA has for MMS are valid, plenty of evidence for the risks. Now if the MMS pushers would mention this when they sell this 'miracle cure', then everybody can decide for themselves if they want to take the risk. But you have to wonder why the FDA is acting now with MMS, as it has been marketed for years. I agree that most of the FDA recommendatons are strongly influenced by Big Pharma etc. But that doesn't mean all the advice is wrong. Guest guest
i have friends who use MMS. i've considered it myself but haven't tried it yet. and yes most people who market (that i know of) do explain the chemical reaction. it is that specific reaction that kills highly metabolic cancer cells and protozoa. The action of killing cells and protazoa etc converts the chlorine back into harmless substances. the majority of people get more chlorine from their drinking water. ~dory

The only thing I could find is nausea and diarrhea which are both explained as possible side effects. Could you please list the places where there is real evidence so I could do some research ? Could you please list the places where there is real evidence so I could do some research ? or course there is no official risk assessment for MMS, it is not an official chemical but just a marketing word. But there is loads of info on chlorine dioxide (or chlorite, which has the same action in the body). One quick google search or a visit to the library (chemical handbook etc.) will show you all you need to know. People working with chlorine dioxide solutions for cleaning etc. (much lower concentrations than in MMS) have to use all kinds of protection, like special suits, gloves and masks. Do you think this is to scare the workers and make them less efficient?

I bet no one has really checked, because it all happens outside the official healthcare system. Did you know that chlorine dioxide can be neoplastic (carcinogenic) in concentrations that are way, way lower that what is used with MMS? And that is just one of the potential 'side effects'. I would not be surprised if some of the people who are using MMS are the same who have been opposing use of chlorine dioxide for drinking water purification for years ... cure-alls don't exist, and cure-alls that are totally safe are even more unrealistic. Guest guest
you sound angry. i'm sorry if this subject has triggered unpleasant emotions for you. i believe the people should have access to whatever health care options they choose. i believe we should research our own health care options, and make our own choices. i believe the FDA gets in the way of this process. It is like laetrile for cancer. can't get it here. but i eat apple seeds to get my own laetrile. but oh they have cyanide! yes they do. and small doses of cyanide kill cancer cells. and killing small renegade cancer cells is important to people especially those of us with immune system dysfunction. our own government, IDSA, CDC state the chronic lyme does not exists. (none of us are still infected, we all have post lyme syndrome - ha ha) so why should i trust the government with any of my health care information? lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. if the FDA gets its way then we will no longer have access to herbal remedies unless they go trough the same expensive process that pharmaceuticals do. The truth is none of us knows what will cause cancer in our bodies. It is different for every one. Some people can smoke cigarettes for life and never have cancer and others never smoke and get lung cancer. Charcoal broiling steaks makes carcinogens but i don't see the FDA outlawing barbecue grills. We know cigarettes cause cancer but i do't see them outlawing cigarettes either. It is all about money and who has it and who gets it and who can pay off whom. There is no big lobbying for people with invisible illnesses. We have to be proactive to keep from having our choices outlawed because big government, big pharma and others don't want us to have access to low cost effective treatments. ~dory *stepping down from soapbox now* 1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. - NKJV " It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible " Washington. Guest guest
I am going to beg to differ a bit. I was a firm disbeliever and skeptic. Now I understand the healing properties of homemade Colloidal silver. For myself and my family and a large number of friends locally it has proven to be an incredible cure all for many things. www.lyme-resource.com You can lead a person to a fact, but you can't make them think! - [ ] Re: FDA Warns Against " Miracle " Mineral Supplement > > i know people taking this by IV. Agree about free choice, at least as long as society does not have to bear all the risk if things go wrong. A warning is appropriate for MMS; they are not talking about a total ban, are they? > Charcoal broiling steaks makes carcinogens but i don't see the FDA outlawing barbecue grills. We know cigarettes cause cancer but i do't see them outlawing cigarettes either. It is all about money and who has it and who gets it and who can pay off whom. But they warn again charcoal, cigarettes etc. I don't see the big difference with MMS. Some people use cigarettes despite the evident statistical risk. It is all about informed choice, and the info on the MMS website is extremely biased. You don't have to 'trust' the evil government regarding warnings against MMS. Info about risks of chlorine dioxide is very old, it can be found in chemical handbooks from before the time that Big Pharma called the shots in Whashington (or Brussels). Guest guest
Colloidal silver is touted as a hoax as well and yet it is being used more and more by LLMDs as an adjunct. Some countries are trying to shut down the manufacturers of this product and yet you find silver being embedded in bandaids to help prevent infection, added to humidifiers to control growth of microbes in water, etc. I bought two silver generators in the event that they take this away from us too. We all have heard of the Golden Rule - he who has the gold makes the rules. Big Pharma has the dollars to lobby against anything that cuts their profits. And their profits pay taxes to our government. So why should the government listen to the little guy? Who will replace all those dollars? deb > > > > Knotweed is very negative.......He analytically destroys every known Lyme remedy and is doing a disservice to others > > Jazzman > > talk about negative bias ... > > I'm just warning against the most obvious hoax treatments. As I have mentioned before, I don't believe in cure-alls and especially not in cure-alls that are 100% safe, but some CS applications do work (which isn't by definition the same as kill Borrelia or cure LD). Guest guest
From my readings I find its interesting that in vitro experiments (i.e. in labs) CS has been shown to be 100% effective against all bacteria's it was used against. Also they appear not to be able to evolve a response to it. It really is amazing stuff. Viruses of course can be a different story. Supposedly CS will attack cells that have been taken over by viruses, but I have yet to see any research backing that up. My wife has been consuming 12 ounces a day now for a year and half with no side effects other than good health. We have other friends doing similar with equal results. I was an extreme skeptic 4 years ago about CS and Rife etc. I am no longer. www.lyme-resource.com You can lead a person to a fact, but you can't make them think! - > [ ] Re: FDA Warns Against " Miracle " > Mineral Supplement > > > > > > > > Colloidal silver is touted as a hoax as well and yet it is > being used more and more by LLMDs as an adjunct. Guest guest
I also use the Meissner generator. Actually have 3 of them running all the time now. My wife now sells it in her health resource center. It's slow (2-3 days for half a gallon) but makes a quality product. See Meissner's web page for lab reports on what the generator outputs. I also have heard good things about the silver puppy. But since the Meissner works so well for us I have stuck with it. www.lyme-resource.com You can lead a person to a fact, but you can't make them think! - > [ ] Re: FDA Warns Against " Miracle " > Mineral Supplement > > I bought my generator from www.meissnerresearch.com.
