I have been newly diagnosed as having LD, although it appears that it may have

been my underlying health issue for decades. Among my issues are

hypothyroidism, low adrendals, raging arthritis, Sjogren's and Reynaud's. In

reading your posts, I see how many of you have been seeking relief for years,

evidently with mixed success.

My thyroid physician diagnosed me with two types of mycosin infections two years

ago and put me on doxycycline. It lowered the levels eventually, but he had

told me all along he suspected LD. He just recently decided to change me to

tetracycline, and I didn't expect to notice any difference, but instead I

started a major herxathon. It has been four weeks now and I think just about

health issue immaginable has popped up and then gone away again. Interestingly,

my body temp, which was always around 97.2 despite my thyoid treatment, suddenly

went up to 98.2-99.

Yesterday, I had a raging migraine, which is rare for me. I finally crawled

into my first ever epsom salt bath. Used about 2 cup and one bottle of

peroxide. I became so hot that I thought I would feint, so I kept adding cold

water to the bath but could never feel comfortable. After about 20 mins, I got

out and lay under a ceiling fan on full blast while I was still wet?

What causes that? Is it a sign of detox? I'm dreading my next bath.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Kim

Hi Kim - The heat is awfully hard on someone with Lyme. Lyme is an

inflammatory disease so I think that outside heat can take us over

the top.

This hot summer I spent some time laying down on a cold marble

floor to soak the heat out when I fwlt real bad. I don't know if

Advil did a thing. I think that when we get better, the heat won't

be a problem/ in VT
