Ellen, how old are you? My natural floaters (I got the bad eye genes)

began in my 20's, and have indeed increased after Lyme Disease (ALD!).

They aren't easy to get rid of, are intractable. All the Best, Muriel

PS I'm 61....

Pam,

Would you post re your experience with the tincture and floaters?

I took capsules of stephania root for a couple of months (not a long

time I realize) and didn't see any improvement for the floaters. There

also is an enzyme which is supposed to dissolve the floaters, someone

on this list referred to it, nanno something, but it is quite

expensive so I haven't tried it.

I'll be interested to read your experience.

Ellen,

All I did was post saying I was experiencing floaters & I think I asked

if Stephania tincture was the thing to take. I haven't taken it at all.

Ellen,

The enzyme you are talking about is Nattokinase. But on the biopure site

they sell a formula called Rechts Regulat (its German) that is supposed to

work better than the Natto. It is a liquid you take orally. My husband

started taking it and a nasty wound he had healed amazingly fast. Worth a

try.

Personally I take both the systemic enzymes (natto, pancreatic, etc.) and the

Rechts Regulat. It helps with the micoplasma and the cysts.

I am 66 and have had floaters long before Lyme. I don't know if they have

gotten any worse with Lyme or not. THEY ARE NORMAL when you get older. Just

one of the things we have to put up with in our dying state.

And eye doctor years ago told me there is nothing you can do for them.

I don't know IF Stephania Tincture does ANYTHING for floaters. I have been

taking capsules for about 19 months, and recently, a month or so ago, started

the tincture too. BUT NOT for floaters, for blurred vision. BUT I don't think

it does much for me, either way. I find Devil's Claw to work the best for my

vision.

Buhner does recommend a decoction eyewash for Lyme with Stephania Root though.

I have not tried that as yet.

Hello,

This is what I've read/learned about floaters, the causes, and natural

remedies. Floaters are commonly found in nearsighted people and

people with food allergies and candidiasis.

From a Chinese Medicine perspective, floaters are an indication of

congestion in the liver. So the theory is that if you strengthen the

liver with the proper herbs you indirectly strengthen the eyes. Two

herbs which are non-toxic and can be safely taken long-term are

Dandelion Root and Milk Thistle. I've been on a combination of both

and have seen improvement. BTW, I have tons of floaters.

Just my two cents.

Thanks

Hi,

I have taken Stephania Root tincture, my floaters and streaks got much worse

initally-major Herx. They also did when I started my IV antibiotics.

It does work for the CNS, as my CAT scan went from covered in tiny lesions to

gone after the tincture was used. I still have the bouncy vision, it is not

nearly as bad.

Someone did mention that I maybe since I went so long undiagnosed that I may

have some permanent damage, so maybe they will never fully go away.

I like to think everything is going away eventually. I have come to far.

Hi :

Did you get YOUR floaters mainly from Lyme, or is it because of age? I

don't have the latter two you described, but I am nearsighted so that must be

where I got it from, plus my age, I guess.

I do take Milk THistle anyway for part of my Lyme treatment. Were you

alluding that the Milk THistle and dandelion were to help for the latter two, or

if because of nearsightedness also?

Jim.

Let me just add to 's advice that I have been taking Milk Thistle for a

year and I pretty much can't get along without it. It has no side effects

for the people in my family- just a decrease in symptoms.
