Guest guest
Dear Jaye, First, you might have noticed I got the name of the book wrong, it's Dr.Jensen's Guide to Better Bowel Care: A Complete Program for Tissue Cleansing Through Bowel Management. My apologies for that. To do the Seven Day Cleansing Program cost us about $500, for all the equipment, medicine, and drinks. That would actually get my husband and me through a few cleanses because we had supplements left over, plus the colema board which you use to do " high enemas " ...there should be stuff about that online. We had to order some supplements online which added a bit to the hassle. You do the colema twice a day. You can add various things to the water for different conditions, ie garlic if you think you have parasites (details in book, of course.) You take a cleansing drink 5x a day at specific times; it is made of water, apple juice, clay water, and intestinal cleanser (psyillium.) You take supplements 4x a day at specific times: chlorella, liquid chlorophyll, niacin, wheat germ oil capsule, Vitamin C, digestive enzymes, tablets of beet juice concentrate, dulse tablet. You also take flaxseed tea, herbal tea, liquid calcium-magnesium, cod liver oil. The night before you begin, two herbal laxative tablets. And you skin brush. It was difficult, but I have been reaping the benefits of that one, 7-day cleanse for the past 8 years. And since I conceived children afterwards, the benefits are for the rest of my life. This cleanse is recommended to be done 2x a year, but I am pretty skinny and technically did not last all 7 days, I was reading cookbooks and crying my eyes out because I missed food so much, I felt like I'd never get to eat again. I cheated by drinking too much apple juice. Still I plan to do that cleanse again, to ward off incipient diseases. Hope that helps! Good health to you, Trish On 09/24/2010 08:54 AM, Blymielymie wrote: > > Trish > > This is wonderful news. Congrats. > > Could you tell me a little more about what the cleanse entails? Guest guest
Hi again Jaye, I just found this in Dr. Jensen's book (Guide to Better Bowel Care) and feel it's necessary to copy, after the details I already provided, to put it in perspective: " The Seven-Day Cleansing Program as presented here is often very helpful in relieving pain. Pain of all kinds from any part of the body- including joint pains associated with arthritis, and headache from migraine, tension, toxins, or another cause- will be relieved in the majority of cases. It should be understood that this treatment cannot be considered a cure-all but rather an important step in leading the body to detoxification and cleansing. Serious medical problems should be referrred to a physician. You should follow the cleansing program at your own pace and watch for any reactions, Some people- especially the very toxic, the elderly, and the very weak- may have a negative response almost immediately. It may not be safe for you to stay on the program for more than one day if you experience a severe droop in your energy level or have another type of serious reaction. This is the most powerful detoxifying program I know. Approach it with respect. You will be unleashing potent healing powers that may be overwhelming if you are uninitiated. " Then he gives suggestions for how to modify, repeat, build yourself up for (if necessary) and recover from the cleanse. Excellent book, I think it's worth having for anyone interested in health, it's not just about the cleanse but all sorts of health-related issues. Bye again! Best wishes again Trish On 09/24/2010 08:54 AM, Blymielymie wrote: > > Trish > > This is wonderful news. Congrats. > > Could you tell me a little more about what the cleanse entails?
