Dear Pam,

Nothing I say below should be construed as criticism of you for asking

a question, my post is raised by your question, but not directed at you.

I never heard this, and if I did, I would consider blanket absolutist

statements like this ridiculous.

IMO it is truly unfortunate and it really holds back the search for

truth about Lyme because there are two poles of an argument -

one extreme is people who claim that anyone who has Lyme is cured with

28 days of an abx, and that if they continue to be ill, they have

something other than Lyme. Patently absurd and people who espouse this

view mostly have an agenda, ie insurance companies who do not want to

pay .

Second extreme view - is that *everything* is Lyme. I have heard

people say that there is no MS, no Lupus, no CFS. Nothing exists exist

Lyme. Or as in the case of the cancer claim - everything was Lyme

before it was something else. (some)People who espouse this view also

have an agenda - and that is to have everything declared Lyme.

Ellen,

When I heard it, I thought it was ridiculous too. But I thought I'd ask

anyway. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I've had Lyme for 26 years now, and almost three years ago, began to develop

lipomas in my legs, which are like out -of -control growths of the fat

tissue. Does anyone else have lipomas/know what to do about them? -- Robin
