There are some non-abx options, but healing is real slow or not at all, it's best to hit it quickly w/abx's flagyl or vancomycin otherwise you can lose a lot of weight. I lost 50 lbs the 1st time and was in the hosp. 4 times. 2nd bout caught it quick and only lost 20 lbs. and got rid of it w/i a couple of mo's.
