Any suggestions about whether or not to take the sarsaparilla to stop the

mental stuff? Or, to just try the Biaxin/Flagyl thing again?

Deanna ..do whatever your doc says ....I have never heard of sasparilla

helping with a herx syndrome ...its that like soda water ? If you take it and

your doc knows you do ..and you think it will help than just take it ....that

is

my opinion. I was also wondering if you take an antidepressant ? I take

cymbalta ..it is also supposed to help with pain ....just a thought ! Does your

doc have a covering physician ? I would think if you are having herxheimer

symptoms that you should not start anything new without asking. Maybe you are

feeling so lousy due to yeast ? Are you taking all of your probiotics ? Take it

easy kiddo ...hate to see anyone sound so down ....try to rest if you can and

not introduce too many new things on your own without your doctor. So ..you

asked , I told ...I hope I have helped ..maybe someone else has better

suggestions ...take care of yourself ..kat

me , I am no longer treating myself ..that's why I have a doc !

Did yours leave town without a covering physician ? You asked for input on a

question ....I just gave you my answer ...LOL !

Buhner's auxilliary rotocol (core protocol is resveratrol,

andrographis and cat's claw) ...he then adds smilax (sarsaparilla

and, sometimes, astragalus. He uses sarsaparilla mostly to lessen

herx reactions by binding endotoxins in the blood stream...he also

says it is antispirochetal, an immune modulator, an antiinflammatory,

a neuro protector....

Is this ok to take with other herbs?

I've read it has binding capabilities (didn't know if that meant like activated

charcoal... where they tell you to take that away from herbs/supplements)

yes, it is OK. It is supposed to bind toxins and can help with herxing. In

general it can be combined with the other Buhner herbs, maybe for certain

supplements like vitamins it would be better to take them apart just to be sure.

But I don't think it is a strong binder like chlorella, cilantro, charcoal etc.
