Guest guest
Thanks so much for your help Peggy! Connie [ ] Re: mono and lyme and edema Hi and Connie, Sorry to group this in one post, but I am trying to consolidate for the sake of time. I don't have a lot of info about the fluid shifts. I heard about it from a LLMD at a lyme conference. Apparently babesia can cause really weird symptoms. I get facial swelling. It is not your typical swelling that you would expect. Most people get the ankle, feet or hand and finger type. Babesia can cause the unusual water edema pattern. I would look into a couple of things. For ankle and feet I would look at vascular tone. Remedies like horse chestnut and butchers broom help to increase vascular integrity and circulation. I also look at kidney drainage as well because fluid retention can be a sign of kidney deficiency in chinese medicine. There is a product called fill the ocean. I am not sure of the company off hand, but you can probably google it. I would think any good kidney support would work well. I also use extra potassium for me. I tend to run low and you can have fluid retention with low potassium. I do believe that lymph back up is a cause. I have tested for babesia in my head area. i get bad trigeminal as well as earaches. I use guasha( a ceramic chinese spoon) with some massage oil and scrape the areas under my jaw and ear. it does help to drain my face. Asparagus is a good diuretic . It does not demineralize you like conventional diuretics. I only suggest this if you really need to deflate :-) Most of the time I prefer to go the mineral or drainage root. Take care, Peggy
Guest guest
I purchased my rebounder from Walmarts for like $40... Some are crazy expensive for that little thing. However, we DO have a big TheraBall, and I will put Abby on that for detoxing lymph! That should be really good for the mono! > > Hi Connie, > I just remembered another thing to help with lymph drainage. My LLND > recommended poke root oil to help with lymph stagnation. Guest guest
Hi Peggy, I've been thinking about trying poke root. I'm taking red root currently and I can feel it helping my spleen. Do you know if I can take both at the same time? I'll see if I can find out. I don't know what rebounding is. But, if it's aerobic I can't do it. My heart is the biggest problem I have with Lyme and I can't walk up stairs without my chest starting to hurt and my breath getting short. I can only manage 20-30 minutes of yoga everyday. Thanks for the ideas! Connie [ ] Re: mono and lyme and edema Hi Connie, I just remembered another thing to help with lymph drainage. My LLND recommended poke root oil to help with lymph stagnation. Guest guest
Thanks Peggy! I didn't know you could use it as an oil. I've seen it as a tincture mixed with other roots including red root. So I'm sure they're all right together. I think I'll give it a try. Babesia is my biggest problem as well. My new doctor started me on A-BAB. I can only take one drop every other day or I herx like crazy. I tried to increase the dose this week to one drop everyday and I ended up staying home from work a couple of days! The same thing happened when I took Arteminisin, so I feel certain I have a strong case of Babesia even though my test came out negative. Thanks so much! Connie [ ] Re: mono and lyme and edema Hi Connie, You can combine the two because the poke root oil is topically applied. It is used a s a massage oil on lymph drainage areas. A rebounder is a trampoline, so I am thinking that is out for you. I have babesia and I have heart stuff and breathlessness. I have really little exercise tolerance. I can manage to gently bounce on a pliates ball for a few minutes though. I am using Khella and healthy heart(both from herb pharm) and I have been doing much better. Look them up when you get the chance. Take care, Peggy > > > Hi Peggy, > > I've been thinking about trying poke root. I'm taking red root currently and I can feel it helping my spleen.
