Hi,

Can anyone share with me how they reduce inflammation? Is it primarily

thru diet? or is there some detox method?

One holistic-minded MD I've seen explained to me that inflammation comes from a

lot of places, so it helps to combat all: fight infections, eat an

anti-inflammatory diet (avoid common food allergens, anything that reacts for

you, lots of cooked greens, garlic, turmeric, ginger, etc.), mind-body practices

like meditation, yoga, and treating anything else that might be causing

inflammation for you like autoimmune conditions or what have you.

For myself, I do a lot with diet and mind-body and it HELPS. Didn't help enough

to fix the lyme though, before I knew had it. So getting adequate treatment

there helps for sure.

Ginger root is another anti-inflammatory. I read about a product called D-Flame

which includes a number of these and is supposed to help pain from inflammation.

Slight diet modifications work really well for me, also I've used Quercetin with

success. If I feel gut inflammation going on I take caprylic acid to eliminate

candida.
