Hello Mira,

This should be no problem! You can actually purchase the herbs in bulk so you

wouldn't have to waste your money on purchasing them capsulated.

I think first chinese herbs has the plum flower brand in bulk. I'd start very

very slowly, small amounts at a time and one herb at a time.

Just heard speak on the radio today and he said to emphasize Japanese

Knotweed....even with that i'd begin with a quarter of a teaspoon in applesauce

or yogurt or ???.....you should have no problem with any esphagal burning, etc.

as long as it is well coated. The only " concern " would be flavor/taste.

If she can handle the abx like that, the herbs could be a breeze.

peace ,ease,

yarrow

Is it possible to take his protocol by opening the capsules and mixing them into

food, like I do with the abx? (I know some meds, herbs can actually burn the

esophagus or stomach lining if not taken in the protective capsule--also some

are less effective--anyone have info regarding this and/or is doing this

themselves due to gag reflex?

It takes a bit of experimenting, some herbs don't mix wel with watery substances

and need some fat (e.g. like found in yoghurt) and for some the taste is a

problem. Catsclaw mixes with yoghurt, but this seems to increase the unpleasant

taste (maybe I should try applesauce ...).

With andrographis the only thing that works for me is swallowing with coffee or

strong chocolate, in order to mask the intensely bitter taste.

Dear Mira,

I so wish i could answer your questions with confidence and wisdom.

Sorry to say I don't feel qualified to guide you or your daughter so

specifically through these next steps.

My own body is quite ill and i'm taking things moment to moment. What I do is

muscle test with my partner or a friend to discern what is right to take each

day, as it is always shifting.

My understanding is that there are herbalists and doctors who are versed in the

Buhner protocol who would be more qualified to guide you.

Peace and ease,

yarrow

her LLMD doesn't want to treat for Babs--saying the Bart is her biggest issue

right now; however, where she has plateaued in her symptoms with just Lyme and

Bart treatment (and one of her earliest tests came back with borderline Babs

positive), I'd like to see if Babs may in fact be the issue.

headache (sinus-pressure like), fatigue, and Bart marks. Will Knotweed help

those symptoms? Any other Buhner herbs that target those? (I have Buhner's book

and have read it, but I'm feeling overwhelmed right now and just want to start

her on something. Thanks for understanding!)

body, but I really, really feel that herbs are the missing factor at this point.

Connie posted: ***Does the alcohol bother her?***

No, not really. But since she is a child, I'd just rather give her alcohol-free.

Plus, I've heard alcohol-free is a lot less taxing on the liver.

Thanks--

Mira
