Encapsulated Cat's Claw -- Is it more effective on an empty stomach?

I believe that Buhner indicates in his book that some Cat's Claw

tinctures may need to be taken with something acidic, but that was not indicated

for the capsules. I've been taking the capsules of Cat's Claw with a bit of

lemon juice in water. Knotweed had previously mentioned that the Cat's Claw

might be more effective if taken on an empty stomach before a meal. Has anyone

experienced a difference in effectiveness with that approach? I'm concerned

about stomach upset.
