Herx or Allergic Reaction - How quickly do herbs cause a Herx?

In addition to the Japanese Knotweed (only at 2 tabs 3X/day), I'm taking 10

drops 3X/day of a tincture called " Quintessence " , made by BioPure of

Andographis, Cat's Claw, Japanese Knotweed, Smilax and Red Root. The tincture

is alcohol-based. A few hours after taking these herbs, I get a headache (which

I never get otherwise) and feel like that could be a " herx " . Any thoughts as to

whether these herbs could cause a herx so quickly, or if this is, instead, some

sort of allergic reaction? (Would love it to be the former, obviously!)
