their hands, feet and face. My hands feel as though the elasticity and

flexibility have disappeared. My face feels slightly numb and my lower legs are

also numb. The initial attack of Lyme seems to have damaged the nerves in these

areas.

Not sure exactly what you mean, maybe it is a bit similar to my problem. When I

touch my fingers they feel a bit like the pad of the big toe, where the skin is

very hard/thick. But my fingers have very thin skin, and they were very

sensitive until recently. The feeling is not completely gone, it just feels like

the skin is now very thick, hard, inflexible. Sorry if not clear, english is not

my mother language ...

It could be a problem with the autonomous nervous system, maybe a variation of

my problem with numb fingertips etc. Does your skin react normally on pressure,

e.g. if you pinch it with a fingernail, stretchmarks from clothing etc.? Does

the problem change after exercizing?

On a positive note: as long as some sensitivity is left, it can probably cure

completely with the right treatment, it is not irreversible damage. The problem

is to find the right treatment ...

I can absolutely relate to your description below. I've been receiving a lot of

energywork and mind body therapy - which helps some, and working with some lymph

drainage herbals which are helping with the tightness. My latest favorite is

deep tissue massage. I haven't been doing it long enough to see if results are

lasting, but wooh! It really gets into the painful and numb parts for me, which

feel deep in my tissue.

I'm wondering if anyone can relate to sensations of numbness and tightness

in their hands, feet and face. My hands feel as though the elasticity and

also numb. The initial attack of Lyme seems to have damaged the nerves in these

areas. I would be interested in hearing if you have had these symptoms and if

they have resolved. If there is an herbal solution that you have used to help

with these symptoms, aside from those in the Buhner Protocol, I would be

interested in your response. I'm using Tim 's Green Dragon Botanicals

formula, along with other herbs for soothing and strengthening. I am especially

interested in hearing positive hopeful messages of recovery, as I'm sure we

would all benefit from some good news.

My son has started getting accupressure treatments(two so far) and feels really

positive about the results. He is having it done by an older Chinese woman, and

she really works him, at least an hour per session. She is also a bit of a faith

healer. She is the grandmother of a friend of my younger son's, and is doing it

free of charge. If she solves his arm and wrist pain, she is also an angel. So

far it is the only thing that seems to have helped his arm and wrist problems.

His has been on ABX/antiviral/herbals/nutritional treatment for about 9 months

with a Bay area LLMD, and has done massage and physical therapy. She believes he

has to solve the deeper nerve and tightness problems before conventional massage

therapy will help. Everything but arm/wrist problem was being helped by his Lyme

treatment plan. Here's hoping!

Thank you Jen! We work hard, don't we? :) Deep tissue massage sounds like

a good direction for me. Thanks again for your response.

Thanks, Steve.. My best to you and to your son. I may look into

acupressure treatment. I see ABX on a lot of the Lyme treatment sites.

Another matter to research.
