Guest guest
I don't know if this info could be exchanged... I have a friend just diagnosed Lyme andlooking for a doctor over in land. Does anyone know a good LLND or LLMDover there? pajo... From: Maud Steinberg <maudsteinberg@...> Subject: [ ] No cycle swings yet Received: Sunday, August 15, 2010, 1:17 AM Â I was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago with Lyme and Bartonella and was started on Abx and the core herbs. I continue to feel crappy most of the time. When do the cycle swings start? I have had the Lyme and Bartonella for at least 1 1/2 years and the last 6 months I have been very ill. I am just waiting for some good days. I thought I would have had some by now. Any ideas? Maud

Guest guest
I saw an add in a local paper that the National Integrated Health Associates (NIHA) treats Lyme. NIHA is located in Washington DC, one block from the " border " with land. Check NIHA website at nihadc.com Dida On Sun, Aug 15, 2010 at 7:29 AM, Pajovsky Hunter <pajohunter@...>wrote: > > > > I don't know if this info could be exchanged... > I have a friend just diagnosed Lyme andlooking for a doctor over in > land. > Does anyone know a good LLND or LLMDover there? > pajo... > > > From: Maud Steinberg <maudsteinberg@... <maudsteinberg%40gmail.com>> > > Subject: [ ] No cycle swings yet > < %40> > Received: Sunday, August 15, 2010, 1:17 AM > > > > > I was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago with Lyme and Bartonella and was started > on Abx and the core herbs. Guest guest
In order to protect our sympathetic doctors from possible harrassment by people/agencies that don't believe in chronic lyme, may I suggest that doctor names be sent backchannel, directly to the person requesting the information rather than posting on this forum. Just a suggestion since we need all the good lyme practitioners we can get. jo > > > > From: Maud Steinberg <maudsteinberg@...> > > Subject: [ ] No cycle swings yet > > > > Received: Sunday, August 15, 2010, 1:17 AM > > > > > > > > I was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago with Lyme and Bartonella and was started on Abx and the core herbs. Guest guest
NIHA is a good practice. But I would go to Dr Jemsek. He has great skills and has gotten many people better. Guest guest
I was referred to Dr. Jemsek, but there is a 4 months waiting list and that is a long time to wait when you are sick. I also called NIHA and they can see me in 2 weeks. Is there any difference in their treatment protocol? Does anybody have any personal experiences with either One? Guest guest
Maud I work w dr Bruce rind at niha I've been working with him for 5 yrs on thyroid & adrenal issues I was just recently diagnosed w Lyme - though he believes I've been infected a very long time I don't know how to give feedback about Lyme as I'm so new at it But he is brilliant with the other things/issues he has worked with me on He is on version 11.6 of his herbal protocol One of his medical ass'ts recently told me they seem to think - by observation - folks w chronic or long term Lyme do better w herbs compared to herbs and antibiotics and especially compared to just antibiotics I don't know enough yet to have formed an opinion But I trust rind They don't accept insurance payments You must pay them in full & then send the bill for reimbursement They sell most supplements in house Wishing you Light & Love & Ease of well being Randy On Aug 18, 2010, at 8:25 PM, Maud Steinberg <maudsteinberg@...> wrote: > I was referred to Dr. Jemsek, but there is a 4 months waiting list and that is a long time to wait when you are sick. Guest guest
Maud, I found that having one appointment in the 'queue' while seeing another doctor was not necessarily a bad thing for me. As it turned out, the first LLMD I saw I didn't like at all, but I worked with him until I saw the second. I liked her, but she is too hard to get in touch with, so I'm working with numbers 3 and 4 now. My point is that were I in your shoes, I would make both appointments, go to NIHA in 2 weeks, see what they have to say and how they can get you started. Then you get to decide if it's working for you or if you want to see Jemsek in 4 months, and then where you want to go from there. Every doc has different info and approach to offer, and I think some resonate with some people, and some with others...it was (and is) a big learning curve for me to honor my own wisdom and edges about my treatment, and to trust that the way I need to work it is the best way. - Jen I was referred to Dr. Jemsek, but there is a 4 months waiting list and that is a long time to wait when you are sick. Guest guest
I also found that if you let them know you are flexible, such as; I'll take a cancelled appt. last minute, or can I be the first patient the dr. sees in the morning, or can I come in early before the appt's start. Tell them it's an emergency, ask to speak w/the dr. directly. Jen makes a good point, have a backup appt., I did that a bunch of times, and just make sure you cancel 24 hrs. in advance or whatever their policy is. Guest guest
Thanks Jen, That is a good idea to keep both appointments. I have to travel very far though 5-6 hrs, but of course you do what you have to do, as you have no choice. There are no Lyme literate doctors here near Blacksburg,VA. Do you know anything about Dr. Jemsek or Dr.Beals at NIHA? Thanks for your input.
