Buhner herbs do not 'kill' directly, they are first of all supportive: strengthening the immune system, repairing the damage etc. Maybe they 'kill' gradually by making the inside of your body less hospitable for the bugs. Some of the herbs will go into the cells and cross the BBB - not everything of course, because every herb has many biochemical components. Guest guest
Which herb do you think most affected the Trigeminus nerve, or do you think it was a combination of many? My son is a musician(guitar) who has had to give up playing and working survival jobs because of severe forearm and wrist pain. He is seeing a respected LLMD here in the bay area of CA, and is doing ABx and a host of other supps and probiotics etc. He gets massages and did 5 weeks of hyperbarics. Still no help with his arms. It's very demoralizing for him. Steve From: knot_weed <tek0nik@...> Subject: [ ] Re: New here too -- how sick are people here? Guest guest
On Page 78 of Buhner's book (Healing Lyme), he states " Andrographis . . . crosses the blood/brain barrier where it is active as both an antispirochetal and calming agent . . . " Page 106 - Buhner refers to constituents of Japanese Knotweed as crossing the Blood/brain barrier. Page 135 - Buhner notes that Eleuthero improves mental fog and confusion - brain? A nummber of the other herbs are cited as improving congition and brain function. > > Hi, > I've been in treatment for 3 yrs w/Iv and oral abx, and some proprietary herbs from LLMD. I started the Buhner protocol about 18 months ago and lasted about three weeks on it, got pretty bad GI upset from the knotweed. > > I've tried every pharmaceutical and herbal (not Cowden though) and they quell symptoms for awhile but don't kill it. I get to 90% but can't stay there. My psychiatric and depersonalization problems are the worst. I also have twitching, fibromyalgia pain and plantar fascitis 24/7, also hand and jaw pain. LLMD thought bartonella and we went after that hard but no dice. > > So losing hope and running out of options. Guest guest
> > Which herb do you think most affected the Trigeminus nerve, or do you think it was a combination of many? definitely cured by the knotweed, as that was the only herb I was using in the first weeks (I started catsclaw and andro later). Inflammation of the Trigeminus causes all kinds of neuro problems (vision problems, tinnitus, crawling sensations, vertigo etc.). It is not so much a pain issue, although some spots behind my cheeckbone/ear where this nerve is close to the surface were very painful when touched lightly (I could feel the nerve bundle there when inflamed, almost like a steel cable ....). > My son is a musician(guitar) who has had to give up playing and working survival jobs because of severe forearm and wrist pain. that may be another issue. I still have mild pain issues in most of my joints, but I'm not sure it is a lyme problem. Such problems are very common with musicians; my brother is a cellist and he has tried many treatments for joint pain, usually without much result. He has had to stop playing from time to time. Just like with Lyme, the pain seems to get worse when the person is 'stressed'.
Guest guest
I had tendonitis in one elbow that was very painful (fortunately my left arm and I am right handed). My rife machine seems to have gotten rid of it for many months now. deb > > > > > > > > > So losing hope and running out of options.
