Guest guest
I heard about some invasive plant in NE that they complain about, seeing how it's so persuasive, it appears to be aggressive in nature and I can see why it does our bodies good against the Lyme Disease. I'm going to get on you tube and check it out, thanks! It also can be found along roads like where I found it. The good eatin' time is in April when the new shoots come up like asparagus. I've chewed on some of the stems; it has a tangy, citrus taste. I've pulled a clump up. exposing the main root which I'd scrape with a knife, break in pieces and put in a pot of boiling water for tea. I added some ginger root for more taste and it's medicinal strength. I think I read that the leaves could upset one's stomach but I wonder how a horse with Lyme would like it. {?} Japanese Knotwood is hated around New England, as it's regarded as an invasive plant. The Corps of Engineers apparently brought it here. Oops! I am going to ask around to see if anyone has it and wants it to removed. I'm sure they'd love to have it removed!
