I do much better eating first, then taking the Buhner herbs.

I can take the Eleuthro whenever- and it startled me how fast it seems to work.

[ ] Side Effects of Starting the Protocol

Hi All,

I just started Buhner's new core protocol (Japanese Knotweed, Cat's Claw,

and Eleuthro Tincture).

However, when I take Knotweed, I often feel very anxious almost immediately

after taking it.

I also find the Cat's Claw and Eleuthro to be a little rough on the stomach. I

take the Cat's Claw with food and I will begin doing the same with the Eleuthro

tincture. I am only taking the former two herbs once a day due to abdominal pain

and the Eleuthro 1/2 tsp twice a day thus far.

This is only my second day. Has anyone experienced these problems? Do they go

away?

Hello

Just wondering if the first month of your protocol has produced results. I am

just beginning the same today on Aug 1.

I feel worlds better.

The early herxing was dreadful. Joint paint, GI track issues, brain fog, GI

track issues, fatigue, more GI track issues....

I'm able to stay awake all day, and spontaneously do actual yardwork.

Japanses knotweed is an invasive species where I live, and I'm considering

tracking some down to use instead of buying it. This is huge improvement over

where I've been. My thyroid and adrenal issues are improved a little as well.

I'm praying I'll be one of the 70-80% who defeat Lyme.

Best Wishes,

Kathy

It is so wonderful to hear such a positive response. I started the protocol a

month or so ago (in a very limited way, as Buhner recommended only one

Cat's Claw per week due to autoimmune issues). I've had mild herxing and some

of the brain fog has lifted. I'm hoping that I have as good results, though

perhaps they'll take much longer. Have you had any stomach issues with the

Knotweed? I'm finding that tough on the digestive system, but taking with food

helps a great deal.

Knotweed doesn't seem to bother me tho i had to stop the andrographis as the

" digestive disturbances " were brutal.

Connie - that is exactly it! I'm great for half the time (even took a long

walk with a bit of a run last weekend); then half the time I have no energy,

am grumpy and frustrated.

Do you do anything in prep for the " low:? I've tried lymph massage and

accupunture, even coiling but the lows still arrive. sigh.

Yes, I'm looking for a trick!

It's still early in the treatment for me, but my cycle seems to be about

every 3 weeks and lasts for about 1 1/2 weeks. I have symptoms everyday, but

there is a period of time when they are the worst.

Where did you get that statistic that 70-80% defeat lyme. Is this for the

Buhner

protocol or just in general?

I haven't found anything that works yet, but I've only been diagnosed for about

3 months now. I wish I could walk!!! I'm jealous. My heart is VERY involved in

my Lyme and I am very limited. I can do some yoga everyday, but I can't walk

very far at all.

Beginning with her now..ALL the way from CT.

I began reading stuff from , Better Health Guy who reports on all major

Lyme meetings...told him my stry & he recommended her...and he knows all the

major players personnally while traveling around the world. She also has a very

interesting personal story re: Lyme......
