after using the Herb Farm Eleuthero tincture with good results, I purchased

a 1 pound bag of Eleuthero (Siberian Ginseng, Cut) and want to make my own

tincture - the Herb Farm stuff is quite expensive ...

I thought someone posted a procedure for making the tincture earlier this

year, but I could not find it (the search function on this site is a

disaster ...). Can someone point me to the post, or provide instructions? I

don't

have experience with making tinctures, but I do have most 'kitchen

chemistry' equipment available like glass vessels, digital scales etc.

From what I remember I should use a 40-50% alcohol solution, maybe Vodka

or jenever (I don't know much about this kind of alcoholic drinks, have to

ask someone else ...). I have read about using grape alcohol but I don't

think it is available locally.

How do I get the right concentration in the tincture, and would I need two

times as much as with the Herb Farm product (which is supposedly 2x

concentrated)H

did anyone figure out how to make eleuthero tincture for lyme treatment (what to

use for extraction, amount of herbs, how long for extraction, dosage of the

tincture etc.)?

I checked the mentioned forums but could not find specific information.
