whether he's recommending taking all of these things at once. My guess is that

he is. I'm wondering what people on this listserv have tried and with what

success. I have pain in my knees, lower back, and hands. A good friend has pain

in his ankles, Achilles tendons, and kness.

yes, the suggestion is to take them all at once for the best result.

I did without any result :(

Most of my Lyme problems have improved, but I still have serious issues with

skin (very thin, fragile, sometimes paperlike and wrinkled, very slow healing)

and loss of connective tissue almost everywhere. Pain is not a serious issue as

long as I'm very careful not to bump into something, when handling tools etc.

I'm surprised that the collagen support protocol did not give any improvement

Dear ,

Even if you were to take all of these things simultaneously, I'd personally

start with one thing at a time....

our bodies can be sensitive to anything! Glucosamine, for example (i think) has

shell fish in there. DHEA is definitely something to start very slowly (I

started at 5 mg. and am now at 10)......that way you can really pay attention to

how you are feeling with each added substance.

Sending peace and ease your way!

p.s. i have not done this entire collagenous tissue support protocol myself.

I'm still building up with the buhner herbs and other supplements.

Hi ,

I take most of these supplements and did not start them all at once. I highly

recommend DHEA and Pregnenolone, but probably not as high a dose as recommended.

Start at 5 mg for DHEA and 10 mg pregnenolone. I'm up to 10 mg DHEA and 30

Pregnenolone. Both of those can make your Estrogen or Testosterone rise too

high. So, you'd need to watch out for signs of this (hair on face, sore breasts

are just a couple). These two supplements really helped my energy level because

they help your adrenal glands. Mine were exhausted! I've never tried the alpha

lipoic acid or glucosamine sulfate (most of my symptoms are heart related). Try

one at a time and space them at least a week apart and buy the best supplements

you can. It really makes a difference. I buy most of mine at iherbs.com. They

have great prices.

Best,

Connie Blaze

I helped my symptoms before I figured out what was causing them by going on the

GAPS diet which calls for bone broths. I think the bone broths made with beef or

bison knuckle bones or chicken feet and bones are very good for collagen

replacement. It is a natural solution that only requires that you find good

grassfed bones and drink the broth throughout the day. I highly recommend it as

added collagen support.

The GAPS diet helped us quite a bit because of all the healing things that it

added to our diet. I also figured out that we couldn't tolerate any corn or soy

additives so we cut those out completely. It took almost a year, but I also

rooted out all the hidden sources of corn in our diet (corn wax on peppers,

cucumbers and apples, citric acid in bagged salads and carrots, etc.) and

eliminated them as well. I am going to start us on the Buhner protocol as soon

as I get my herbs because one thing the GAPS diet didn't include was a way to

kill the spirochetes. It did inspire me to study healing foods and try to

include as many of them as possible into our diet, so we already eat a lot of

cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, garlic, onions and homemade fermented vegetables.

, I take the pregnelone and DHEA in my hormone cream. Also use E, C and

tons of B and B-12. sometime silicone, sometime glucosamine. With all the

rest I take, it can all just be too many pills - for me.

And like they said, start with one at a time; see how you feel; just like

with the Buhner herbs.
